Tuesday, February 12, 2013. New York City – “A law enforcement source told CBS News senior correspondent John Miller that a body recovered from a burned cabin in Big Bear, California, is believed to be that of Christopher Dorner, the fired former LAPD officer who was suspected of earlier killing four people, and was the subject of an intense manhunt.”
Apparently the fire was started by officers (listen the video’s audio). Authorities let the cabin burn.
“We won’t allow them (firefighters) to get close to the cabin,” said sheriff’s spokeswoman Bachman. “It’s just not safe.”
Apparently, officers burned Mr. Dorner alive. People are claiming, this is another Waco, Texas.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms raid the Branch Davidian compound on February 28, 1993. More than 80 were killed, including 22 children, who died in the fire on April 19.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said charred human remains were found in the rubble where Christopher Dorner is said to have been cornered Tuesday. “We have reason to believe that it is him,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Cynthia Bachman said.
A wallet with a California driver’s license bearing the name Christopher Dorner also was found, the Associated Press reported.
Bachman said forensic tests would be carried out to confirm the identification.
The deputy’s death in Tuesday’s shootout was the fourth slaying attributed to Dorner. Dorner was charged with killing Riverside Police Officer Michael Crain and was the prime suspect in the murders of Monica Quan and her fiancé, Keith Lawrence, on Jan. 29. She was the daughter of a retired Los Angeles police captain whom Dorner blamed for his firing after reporting alleged abuse by another officer. Randall Quan represented Dorner during his termination hearing.
A man identified as Rick Heltebrake, who works at a Boy Scout camp in the Big Bear area said Dorner stole his truck from him at gunpoint.
Heltebrake said: ‘He (Dorner) said, “I don’t want to hurt you, start walking up the road and take your dog with you”. He was calm, I was calm.
These are some comments from people on social networks:
Antonio Buehler: “Only COWARDS burn a man alive. That’s right all of you criminal cop lovers, only COWARDS burn a man alive. Screw due process, right? Officer safety dictates burning a man alive, right? What a bunch of cowards.”
Twostones00: “If the police intentionally set the cabin on fire they committed several felonies and belong in jail. Cops are not the executioner. They are only to arrest the suspect and bring him to the judge for trial. Burning the cabin down knowing the suspect is inside is murder.”
Chris Elliott: “I wonder if the cops that shot at those ladies (71-year-old Emma Hernandez and her 47-year-old daughter Maggie Carranza), oh and the ones who ran into the guy (David Perdue) in the truck and shot at him ,lets see if they get prosecuted for attempt murder.”
Summer Siravo: “To the Administrator of this page (I support Christopher Jordan Dorner): Please help us organize to investigate what has happened to Chris. I’m not very social media savvy but would like very much to be involved in not letting what happened to this man go. (As well as the numerous past and current PD abuses) Thank you for making this page and organizing us so far. I have already signed the petitions and wrote my elected officials. Please keep this page going. Thank you so much again.”
Genie Crump: “I will ask this 1 more time … So what are we going to do about this? Fighting on FB is not going to solve anything…. Please, tell me America … What is the plan?”

Christopher Jordan Dorner manifesto.
Part of his manifesto says, “This department has not changed from the Daryl Gates and Mark Fuhrman days. Those officers are still employed and have all promoted to Command staff and supervisory positions. I will correct this error. Are you aware that an officer (a rookie/probationer at the time) seen on the Rodney King videotape striking Mr. King multiple times with a baton on 3/3/91 is still employed by the LAPD and is now a Captain on the police department? Captain Rolando Solano is now the commanding officer of a LAPD police station (West LA division). As a commanding officer, he is now responsible for over 200 officers. Do you trust him to enforce department policy and investigate use of force investigations on arrestees by his officers? Are you aware Evans has since promoted to Sergeant after kicking Mr. Gettler in the face. Oh, you Violated a citizens civil rights? We will promote you. Same as LAPD did with the the officers from Metro involved in the May Day melee at MacArthur Park. They promoted them to Sergeant (a supervisor role).
Those Hispanic officers who victimize their own ethnicity because they are new immigrants to this country and are unaware of their civil rights. You call them wetbacks to their face and demean them in front of fellow officers of different ethnicities so that you will receive some sort of acceptance from your colleagues. I’m not impressed. Most likely, your parents or grandparents were immigrants at one time, but you have forgotten that.”
Democracy Now: “In his online manifesto, Dorner threatened to wage “unconventional and asymmetrical warfare” against a police department he accused of racism and corruption. He was fired from the police department in 2008 after being accused of falsely claiming his training officer kicked a mentally ill suspect in the course of an arrest. On Friday, the LAPD announced it would reopen its investigation of Dorner’s firing and his claims. We’re joined by journalist and activist Davey D, who says, notwithstanding the allegations of murder, Dorner’s manifesto “has opened up old wounds or it’s reaffirmed what people have long suspected or have experienced in terms of [police] brutality… I’m really curious as to whether or not these allegations that he has raised, where he names dates, times and places and names, whether or not they actually check out. And I think that needs to be really investigated, above and beyond the immediate scenario which led to his firing.”
