Saturday, April 9th, 2016. New York City – On Friday, April 8th, 2016, Bernie Sanders was Flatbush and Greenpoint in Brooklyn, NYC.

Bernie was born in Brooklyn, New York City. He attended James Madison High School and Brooklyn College. His parents were Eli and Dorothy Sanders. His father immigrated to the United States from Poland at the age of 17 without much in the way of money or a formal education. His mother Dorothy graduated high school in New York City. “U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign released a new television ad for New York, part of a multi-media advertising campaign produced by Spike Lee.

The 30-second spot features civil rights activists Harry Belafonte, Erica Garner, Shaun King and Linda Sarsour endorsing Sanders’ political revolution for its impact on communities of color.”
