Kimani Gray. 1 Year anniverary of his death. (click the link or the image to see the pictures.)
On Saturday, March 9, 2013, 16 year old Kimani "Kiki" Gray was killed by two NYPD plain clothes officers who, according to witnesses, did not identify themselves.
Sgt. Mourad Mourad and Officer Jovaniel Cordova shot at Kimani Gray 11 times, hitting Kimani with 7 bullets, three entered in his back. These officers also have racked up five suits which cost taxpayers $215,000. The suits were for Civil Rights Violations, including Stop and Frisk and False Arrests.
On Sunday, March 9, 2014, his mother, Carol Gray, family members, activists and members of the community had a church service at the Grace Deliverance Church of God. After the service, people marched to 52nd St where Kimani was killed last year and then they marched to 55th St and Church Ave for the vigil.
