On Sunday, June 26th, two days after the New York state Senate voted to legalize same-sex marriage, New York celebrated it’s 42nd annual LGBT PRIDE parade.

The theme this year was “PROUD AND POWERFUL.”
There were many colorful floats with music and community groups.

Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey, a Republican said in an interview, “I believe marriage should be between one man and one woman and I wouldn’t sign a bill like the one in New York.”
