Saturday, October 31, 2015. New York City – This fall (from Monday, October 5, 2015 to Friday, October 9, 2015), was the fifth and final week-long visit in a three-year residency of bell hooks at The New School. It featured conversations with leading public intellectuals and scholars.
On Tuesday, October 6, bell hooks and Kevin Powell had the conversation “Black Masculinity: Threat or Threatened.” She talked about father abandonment, Black Lives Matter and police brutality.
