Sunday, December 21st, 2014. New York City – The event “MXGM: Live In – Action Against Police Brutality” was organized by Malcolm X Grassroots Movement & Allies. The action was on Saturday, December 20th, 2014, at the Atlantic Center Mall in Brooklyn, NYC.
The event was part of #ThisStopsToday. 11 Days Of Action. 12/20/2014 was the last day of actions.
One of the organizers said on Facebook before the event, “please bring a spirit of positivity, creativity, courage and love to this gathering.
We are gathering to honor those who have passed on and to say No more, the constant killing of Black people at the hands of police must stop!! Truth Teller and Fierce Activist Maurice Moe Mitchell eloquently stated 2 of the reasons for direct actions. To challenge the system/status quo and to appeal to a broader audience. We aim to do this and more…”
