Thursday, April 14th, 2016. New York City – Yesterday, Wednesday, April 13th, 2016, Bernie Sanders, Vampire Weekend and Dirty Projectors, Spike Lee, Rosario Dawson, Linda Sarsour, Tim Robbins, Graham Nash and others were in Washington Square Park.
According to some reports, around 30,000 people attended the event in NYC and broke Obama’s record. In 2008, then Sen. Barack Obama drew 24,000 to the park. That record has been broken.

Sanders’s campaign released a new local ad Sunday, in which the Senator re-asserts his Brooklyn roots and commitment to “Values forged in New York.” Watch it below.

Garner continues, “People like Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and my father Eric Garner.”
