Tuesday, April 28, 2020. New York City – Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the BBG is not open right now. I love the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. There are many flowers.
According to data from Johns Hopkins University, almost 18,000 people have died of COVID-19 in New York City. More than 56,000 people have died in the United States of America. New York City is the epicenter of COVID-19. The United States of America is now at the heart of the global coronavirus crisis.
According to BBG.org, “Brooklyn Botanic Garden is presently closed in order to support our city’s efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. We are taking this step out of care for BBG staff and community members. We hope to reopen July 1, and if we are allowed and able to safely open sooner, we will.”
Make a donation to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden on its website: BBG.org.
These are some photos of tulips and other flowers I took at the Garden in past years.
