Corrupt New York governor Andrew Cuomo cancelled the New York Democratic presidential primary.
On Tuesday, may 5, 2020, federal judge Analisa Torres ordered New York to reinstate its June 23 presidential primary.
Federal Judge Analisa Torres said it was unconstitutional to eliminate the New York Democratic presidential primary. She ordered to restore it.
Judge Torres said that a primary for contested races across New York state are occurring on June 23 anyway and the state has enough time to figure out how to safely carry out the election.
On March 7, 2020, Andrew Cuomo issued Executive Order Number 202, declaring a State disaster emergency for the entire State of New York.
“Solely for any election held on or before June 23, 2020, Section 8-400 of the Election Law is hereby modified to allow for electronic application, with no requirement for in-person signature or appearance to be able to access an absentee ballot.”
According to elections.ny.gov, “Pursuant to Executive Order 202.15 issued April 9, 2020, voters may request and vote via an absentee ballot for any election held on or before June 23, 2020 due to the potential to contract the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). To request an absentee ballot, voters may fill out an absentee ballot application and check “temporary illness or physical disability” as the reason they are requesting an absentee ballot.”
There is no need to cancel the Democratic presidential primary in New York state.
Reinstating New York’s Democratic presidential primary was a win for democracy, but corrupt centrist Democrat Letitia James, the New York state General Attorney is appealing Judge Torres’ decision.

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan has scheduled oral arguments for Friday, May 15, 2020.
