The New York Primary is on June 23. Vote for progressive politicians.

Tuesday, June 9, 2020. New York City – This is a message from Our Revolution.

“Your election is coming up on June 23rd. Bernie Sanders is still on the ballot, and it’s essential that as many people as possible vote for him so we can bring our fight for Medicare for All and a Green New Deal to the Democratic National Convention. This election will also be crucial for supporting our progressive champions, including, in the House, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for District 14Samelys Lopez for District 15, and Jamaal Bowman in District 16. Meanwhile, in the state legislature, we’re backing Julia Salazar for State Senate District 18Jabari Brisport for State Senate District 25, and Phil Steck for State Assembly District 110.

In order to stay safe while casting your vote, please try to vote by mail. Many voters were already mailed absentee ballots. If you have not received a ballot by mail, you can request a mail-in ballot at the link below. Applications for absentee ballots must be received via email or regular mail by June 16th. (You can still hand-deliver your application until June 22nd.)

If you’d prefer to vote in person, please consider early voting so you can stay as safe as possible. Voting early means shorter lines and less crowded polling places. Early voting begins on June 13. You can find your early voting site and its hours by entering your address at the site below:

If Bernie doesn’t get enough votes, then the corporate wing of the party will roll back key party reforms we won after 2016 – like the elimination of “Superdelegates” – and block our work to draft a progressive party platform that protects the health and economic security of the American people

This is a critical time and we need to make sure that we turn out and create a more progressive future for New York.

In solidarity,

Our Revolution”

Our Revolution is a national grassroots network of local groups dedicated to organizing a political revolution powerful enough to challenge the structural forces that threaten our survival as a society. From city halls to the halls of Congress, our movement is fighting to win progressive issue fights, elect progressive champions, transform the Democratic party and get big money out of politics.”
