“This is the 17th year of honoring the Indigenous and African ancestors of the America’s who suffered the deadly effects of Christopher Columbus’ genocidal campaign beginning in 1492. Additionally, 17 years of protest and resistance against the Columbus statue (at Columbus Circle),” said Taino FunHouse before the event.

Joe Biden pardoned his criminal son Hunter Biden. Joe Biden must FREE Native American political prisoner Leonard Peltier. INFO: www.freeleonardpeltiernow.org .

“Campaign: President Biden Should Free Leonard Peltier.

Leonard Peltier, a Native American activist, has been imprisoned for nearly 50 years in the USA for a crime he maintains he did not commit. There are serious and ongoing concerns about the fairness of his trial and conviction. Tribal Nations, Nobel Peace Laureates, former FBI agents, numerous others, and even the former U.S. Attorney, James Reynolds, whose office handled the prosecution, have called for Leonard Peltier’s release.

Now 79 years old (his 80th birthday was on September 12, 2024), he suffers from several chronic health ailments, including one that is potentially fatal. President Biden should grant him clemency and release him before it is too late.”_Amnesty International INFO: www.amnestyusa.org/campaigns/free-leonard-peltier

For many years, Native Americans, Indigenous people and activists have demanded that politicians in New York City remove the statue of Christopher Columbus at Columbus Circle.

There are 5 statues of invader, colonizer Christopher Columbus in New York City. ALL the 5 statues must be removed from public places in NYC. Replace the 5 statues of Christopher Columbus with statues of Lenape people. Indigenous Lenape people are the original inhabitants of New York City.

“In New York City, thousands are calling for the removal of Christopher Columbus statues, which can be found in Manhattan (two statues), Queens (one statue), the Bronx (one statue), and Brooklyn (one statue),” wrote Hakim Bishara on hyperallergic.com on June 17, 2020.

“The history of New York City’s Columbus monuments goes back to the 19th century and speaks of the city’s complicated relationship with its Italian community, which created a symbol of ethnic pride in the defamed colonizer in an attempt to relieve xenophobia. But many consider monuments honoring Columbus to be reminders of the genocide, rape, and dispossession of Native Americans and the onset of the transatlantic slave trade,” wrote Hakim Bishara.

“…the controversial monument at Columbus Circle enjoys the support and protection of the city and state’s two top officials, (former) Mayor Bill de Blasio and (former) Governor Andrew Cuomo,” added Hakim Bishara.

Apparently, democrat and republican politicians in New York City, New York state and in the United States of America support “the genocide, rape, and dispossession of Native Americans and the onset of the transatlantic slave trade.”

Was Christopher Columbus a Jew from Spain?

“Why Jews don’t want Christopher Columbus to be identified as Jewish.

Scholars argue that accepting the explorer as Jewish would reinforce the idea that “the same Jews” who destroyed native Americans are also destroying native Palestinians.

The 15th-century explorer Christopher Columbus, known for “discovering” the Americas under the flag of Spain and thus paving the way for its European colonisation, was a Sephardic Jew from Western Europe, according to new scientific evidence based on DNA analysis.

The origin of the word “Sephardic” is Sefarad, which means Spain in Hebrew.

But Jewish scholars are pushing back: they are adamant that Columbus must not be identified as Jewish.

Of the many reasons for their reluctance to recognise Columbus’s Jewish identity, one stands out: the Spanish navigator is widely known for his complicity in colonialism and genocide.

Israel, a Jewish-dominated state, is accused of committing a genocide at the International Court of Justice.

Reports from Columbus’s own time describe his participation in the enslavement, torture and exploitation of native populations.

As governor of Hispaniola, now divided between the Dominican Republic and Haiti, Columbus imposed harsh rule, resulting in mass deaths and widespread suffering among the Indigenous people,” wrote www.trtworld.com in October 2024.

For centuries, people have said that Christopher Columbus was from Italy, but some Spanish researchers announced in a new documentary, titled Columbus DNA: The true origin, which aired on Spain’s national broadcaster TVE that Christopher Columbus was actually a Sephardic Jew from western Europe.

“Columbus was previously believed to be an Italian from Genoa, born in 1451 to a family of wool weavers. Over the years, historians have suggested that the explorer could have been Greek, Basque, Portuguese, or British. While researchers were unable to pinpoint Columbus’s place of birth, they acknowledged after analysing 25 possible locations that he was likely to have come from the Spanish Mediterranean region,” wrote Meredith Clark on www.independent.co.uk, on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
