The rally in honor of Palestinian journalist Saleh Al-Jafarawi was organized by Writers Against the War on Gaza (WAWOG).

Palestinian journalist Saleh Al-jafarawi was killed by members of an Israel-linked ‘militia’ in Gaza City, on October 12, 2025. The zionist entity is still killing journalists in Gaza, Palestine.

Israel is the state that kills the most journalists

According to press freedom groups, and the United Nations, the zionist, apartheid entity (Israel) is the state that has killed more more journalists (from October 7, 2023, to October 12, 2025), than in any other single conflict.

Israel killed more than 270 journalists and media workers in Gaza from October 7, 2023, to October 12, 2025.

The zionist entity have denied free access to Gaza to international media since October 7, 2023.

A few selected outlets embedded reporters with Israeli occuppation forces that were invading Gaza under the condition of strict military censorship.

Israel’s killing of 31 Yemeni journalists marks deadliest global attack in 16 years

“Israel’s targeted strikes on two newspaper offices in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, which killed 31 journalists and media support workers on September 10, (2025), signal that its deadly pattern of attacking reporters and newsrooms.

In Lebanon, three journalists were killed in an October 2024 overnight Israeli airstrike on a compound where 18 journalists were staying.

In Iran, one journalist and one media worker died on June 16, 2025, after an Israeli strike hit the headquarters of Iran’s state-owned television channel.”_Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

“RALLY IN HONOR OF SALEH AL-JAFARAWI: Join us on Tuesday, October 14 at 5:00 pm in front of the headquarters of the criminal NYT, where we will hold the imperial rag accountable for being an accomplice to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and honor the martyred journalist Saleh Al-Jafarawi and over 270 of his colleagues.

In Saleh’s last will and testament, the soon-to-be-28-year-old journalist said the truth “will remain a testimony against all who faltered and remained silent.” Despite numerous assassination attempts by the IOF as part of Israel’s plot to silence the truth, Saleh refused to leave Gaza, and refused to die, earning him the nickname “the one with nine lives” in Zionist media. Up until his very last moments, Saleh continued reporting from the frontlines, documenting the atrocities committed against his people by the occupation forces.

In one of his last recorded videos, Saleh can be seen smiling as he helps children take turns to wear his press vest. “I’m raising the next generation,” he says. “Even if they target us, the children will take our place and continue this mission.”

The NYT staff’s complicity in Israel’s systematic murder of Palestinian journalists—no surprise given their myriad connections to the IOF or Zionist think tanks—only makes us more determined to unravel their lies. Reporters in Western newsrooms are not the colleagues of their Palestinian analogues: they are their enemies. We will hold each and every collaborator with Zionism accountable, until Palestine is free,” said Writers Against the War on Gaza before the protest.

The assassination of Saleh Aljafarawi is meant to send a dark message

Eman Murtaja: “Gaza journalists have been warned that they still are not safe, that they still face death for reporting.

Saleh began working as an independent journalist and photographer during the March of Return in 2018. He would contribute to local outlets and post on social media. When the war began in 2023, he started documenting it with his camera. His footage posted on social media would get many shares. On Instagram, his account accumulated 10 million followers, and like other popular accounts documenting Israeli crimes, it was suspended multiple times.

Through the lens of his camera, Saleh covered the genocide in all its horrible detail. He was not afraid to rush to bombing sites to cover massacres, risking his life and joining the rescue efforts. He selflessly dedicated himself to journalism and broadcasting the truth about what was happening in the Gaza Strip despite he himself suffering.” Click here to read more on Al Jazeera.

The (zionist) New York Times?

“The New York Times is an accomplice to the genocide in Gaza, serving as a mouthpiece for American imperialism and shaping elite consensus around foreign policy. Times editors have told reporters to avoid “inflammatory terms” like “genocide,” “ethnic cleansing,” and “occupied territory” — and even to avoid saying “Palestine.” Headline writers have manipulated the English language and deployed tricks of syntax to obscure the U.S. and Israel’s perpetration of atrocities and blame Palestinians for their own oppression. Reporters have printed the Israeli military’s lies.

The Times’ commitment to Zionism is systemic and generational. For decades, critics of U.S. foreign policy have offered crucial analyses of the paper’s bias. This dossier borrows from and adds to that body of criticism by exposing the material and ideological ties to occupation and apartheid held by many high-ranking editors, journalists, and executive officers at the Times. The employees included in this dossier are individually as well as structurally incentivized to run cover for war criminals. That these individuals are empowered to frame the discourse around Israel’s genocide is an indictment of the entire institution of The New York Times.

Such an indictment demands a public response. Journalistic malpractice enables the weapons shipments that sustain the war on Gaza. The mass slaughter of a besieged people must be named for what it is: a genocide. The New York Times must be held accountable for its complicity. We continue to call on readers of the Times and members of the public to boycott, divest, and unsubscribe from the paper of criminal record.

Meredith Kopit Levien has been an executive at the Times since 2013. She succeeded Mark Thompson as the CEO of the The New York Times Company in 2020.” READ MORE on newyorkwarcrimes.com/dossier
