October 23, 2025. Manahatta, Lenapehoking (Manhattan, New York City) – New York City’s Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Kwame Mamdani apologized to the New York City Police Department (NYPD) on October 15, 2025.

For decades, New Yorkers have said that the NYPD is RACIST. For decades, New Yorkers have said that the NYPD is “the biggest gang of New York.”

The Stonewall riots (also known as the Stonewall uprising, Stonewall rebellion, Stonewall revolution) in 1969 were riots and demonstrations against NYPD police brutality.

For decades, NYPD officers have been killing New Yorkers. Some NYPD killer cops are: NYPD Paul Headley, Michael Carey, Marc Cooper, Gescard Isnora and Michael Oliver fired 50 rounds and killed Sean Bell (Bell’s friends, Trent Benefield and Joseph Guzman, were severely wounded by the NYPD killer cops) on November 25, 2006. The murder of Sean Bell drew comparisons to the murder of Amadou Diallo by NYPD killer cops Sean Carroll, Richard Murphy, Edward McMellon, and Kenneth Boss on February 4, 1999. On April 25, 2008, all three of the killer cops indicted were acquitted on all counts. Taxpayers paid $7.15 million to Sean Bell’s family, Joseph Guzman, and Trent Benefield. Guzman said the settlement did not change the underlying reality that the lives of Black and Hispanic men were not worth much in New York and that the incident was bound to be repeated. “Aftershock: The Nicole P Bell Story,” a movie about the wrongful murder of Sean Bell, will be release in 2025. Nicole Paultre Bell: “With this movie, I am pleased to share my journey – a journey of resilience, hope, and the pursuit of justice.” NYPD Jonathan Rivera unlawfully, brutally shot and killed Allan Feliz, on October 17, 2019. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch refused to fire killer cop Jonathan Rivera. Zohran Mamdani says he will keep billionaire Jessica Tisch as NYPD Commissioner, if he is the next mayor. NYPD Salvatore Alongi and Matthew Cianfrocco shot and killed Win Rozario inside his home, on March 27, 2024, as his mother tried to protect him. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch will not fire killer cops Salvatore Alongi and Matthew Cianfrocco? Attorney General Letitia James (Democratic Party) still has not indicted Alongi and Cianfrocco. The boss of NYPD cops, NYC mayor Eric Adams (Democratic Party), has ignored multiple attempts by the family of Win Rozario to meet with him. NYPD killer cops have murdered hundreds of New Yorkers.

NYPD officers have been attacking and brutally arresting peaceful protestors. NYPD officers have been arresting journalists.

People can find on the Internet articles about NYPD police brutally and videos that show NYPD officers attacking New Yorkers. Search for NYPD officers on www.50-a.org.

Instead of the NYPD apologizing to New Yorkers, the next (I guess) New York City mayor, Zohran Kwame Mamdani, APOLOGIZED to the NYPD on October 15, 2025.

New York City’s Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani apologized to the NYPD for what he said about the NYPD in 2020 during the George Floyd protests.

On June 28, 2020, Mamdani wrote on X, then known as Twitter: “We don’t need an investigation to know that the NYPD is racist, anti-queer & a major threat to public safety. What we need is to #DefundTheNYPD. But your deal with @NYCMayor (New York City mayor Eric Adams) uses budget tricks to keep as many cops as possible on the beat. NO to fake cuts – defund the police.”

“All this misery. All for money. In the last budget, the City Council tried to make the NYPD reduce its overtime budget by half. They simply refused. There is no negotiating with an institution this wicked & corrupt. Defund it. Dismantle it. End the cycle of violence.” Mamdani wrote on X,  wrote on December 7, 2020.

NATIONAL DAY OF PROTEST AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY

The “NATIONAL DAY OF PROTEST AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY” was on October 22, 2025. New Yorkers protested against police brutality by the New York City Police Department (NYPD).
