People gathered at Lenape Circle (officially called Columbus Circle) located at 59 Street and 8 Ave. After the rally, ANTI-GENOCIDE New Yorkers marched on 59th Street to 5th Avenue and continued on 5th Avenue. The march passed in front of the Trump Tower, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Rockefeller Center before reaching the New York Public Library in Bryant Park, where they ended the march.

Some of the organizations that participated in the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People were Palestinian Youth Movement, PAL [Palestinian Assembly for Liberation]-Awda NY/NJ, The People’s Forum, Party for Socialism and Liberation, Nodutdol for Korean Community Development, Neturei Karta International, NYC Labor For Palestine, Central Brooklyn Working Group, etc.

The monument to former Mexican President Benito Pablo Juárez García is located in Bryant Park. Benito Juárez, Margarita Maza de Juárez (Benito Juárez’s wife who lived in New York City with her children) and thousands of other Mexican people fought against the French invasion of Mexico. It’s possible that if Benito Juárez and Margarita Maza were alive, they would support the Palestinian resistance against the zionist entity invasion of Palestine (Israel has also invaded Syria, Lebanon, etc.).

Since 1978, every November 29, millions of people across the world have observed the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

“The people of NYC are rallying in Columbus Circle to demand an arms embargo on Israel to halt their ongoing genocide on Gaza and reject Trump’s attempt to further colonize Gaza through the so-called “Board of Peace”. This is a clear attempt to remove Palestinian agency and strengthen US-Israeli Imperialism in the region.

On the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, NYC has shown up to push forward the Palestinian struggle for liberation. We won’t stop fighting until Israel is sanctioned and an arms embargo is placed, until the siege of Gaza has been lifted, and until Palestine is completely free from the River to the Sea,” said the New York City Chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement on Instagram on November 29, 2025.

The Palestinian Youth Movement added, “On International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the people of NYC have shown up in their masses to push the struggle for Palestinian liberation forward. After over 2 years of genocide, Trump has invoked the UN Security Council to attempt to carry out a US-Israeli occupation of Gaza through the so-called “Board of Peace”. This clear attempt to remove Palestinian agency and quash attempts toward Palestinian sel-determination will be met with nothing short of complete rejection by the people of conscience worldwide.

We won’t stop taking the streets until the US and Israel cease their Zionist and Imperialist aspirations in Palestine, until an arms embargo has been placed on Israel, and until the Palestinian people can wake up in a land free of genocide, siege, and occupation.”

“Protesters have taken to the streets of New York City on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, rejecting the U.S. plan to occupy Gaza and deny Palestinians sovereignty and dignity. People around the world are calling for freedom, justice, and an end to U.S.–Israel policies of occupation and violence!,” said The People’s Forum on November 29, 2025.

“Working people in NYC and around the world took to the streets today for the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

As labor, we must uphold the BDS picket line and refuse to accept complicity with US empire and the Zionist genocide and occupation of Palestine. Solidarity means we know we have a common enemy in the ruling class, and we’re ready to fight alongside our siblings in Palestine—now and until liberation,” said NYC Labor For Palestine on November 29, 2025.

“On November 29, 2025, Shut It Down Brooklyn joined hundreds of New Yorkers for the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. As we marched down fifth Avenue in Manhattan, we made it clear that we remain steadfast in our struggle to liberate the Palestinian people from the chains of Israel and US funded Western imperialism. Arms embargo now!

Thank you to everyone from the Brooklyn contingent who showed out! Whether you were there or not, we hope to see you this Monday at 6:30pm at The People’s Forum for our weekly meeting,” said the Central Brooklyn Working Group on November 30, 2025.

“On this International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we reaffirm our commitment to Palestinian liberation in the face of Trump’s so-called “Board of Peace,” which the UN Security Council recently authorized in Resolution 2803.

Resolution 2803 creates a Trump-led “Board of Peace” and an “International Stabilization Force” to occupy and govern Gaza—stripping Palestinians of their sovereignty under a new, US-helmed colonial regime.

As the US touts its “peace” plans israeli genocide continues. The zionist entity has violated the present ceasefire in Gaza more than 500 times since Oct 10, and continues to block the most critical forms of aid.

We reject any and all attempts to perpetuate the zionist occupation of historic Palestine. Any arrangement that seeks to stifle Palestinian resistance and sovereignty must be rejected by the people of the world. Our efforts to isolate zionism through BDS and a people’s arms embargo must continue.

We must not be satisfied by colonial formulations of “peace” that are in fact only demands for our surrender and submission before imperialism. Whether in Palestine or Korea, peace will only ever be truly achieved through liberation,” said Nodutdol for Korean Community Development on November 29, 2025.

“NO WAR ON VENEZUELA! Today, at a demonstration in NYC for International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people, protesters condemned the White House’s intensifying war drive in Venezuela, recognized the connection between struggles against U.S. war and intervention around the world, reaffirmed the commitment to demand an end to U.S. funded genocide and war everywhere!” said The People’s Forum on November 29, 2025.

Before the protest

“ALL OUT FOR PALESTINE. New York City, we will take the streets tomorrow, Nov 29th for the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. The struggle continues as we demand an arms embargo and the lifting of the siege on Gaza,” said the New York City Chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement on Instagram on November 28, 2025.

“JOIN ARTISTS AGAINST APARTHEID FOR THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SOLIDARITY WITH THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE

The UN Security Council just approved a resolution that would establish an American occupation of the Gaza strip. This is an affront to Palestinian sovereignty and would allow Israel and the US to continue the genocide after the ceasefire.

On Nov. 29th, the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian people, Artists and Cultural Workers will take to the streets to recommit ourselves to the Palestinian struggle and to fight for an arms embargo. We embrace the responsibility to use our art, our platforms, and our cultural production in service of the struggle for the total dignity and liberation of the Palestinian people.

Come join us to reject the US Occupation of Gaza and stand with the people of Palestine 1pm on Saturday, Nov. 29th at Columbus Circle.

Our contingent will meet at the corner of 58th and 8th at 12:50PM and march over together” said Artists Against Apartheid on Instagram on November 29, 2025.

“NYC: COMING WITH YOUR FAMILY AND KIDS? JOIN OUR CONTINGENT!

We’ve witnessed over two years of the US-zionist waged genocide and starvation of the people in Gaza. We’ve seen violent settler attacks, raids and mass arrests on our people in the west bank.
Now, as Trump and Israel plan to occupy Gaza, it’s more important than ever before that we join millions around the world to mobilize! We reject US-Israeli occupation of Gaza! We demand an arms embargo now! We stand with the people of Palestine!” said the Palestinian Feminist Collective on Instagram on November 28, 2025.

“TOMORROW 11-29 NYC WORKERS OUT FOR PALESTINE! BE THERE! Meet us at the NW corner of Balsley Park (57th and 9th) at 12:45 to join the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People!

As workers in Italy strike for Palestine, and amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza and continuing U.S.-Zionist terror across the region, we have a responsibility to rise up as US labor. We must build consciousness and power in the labor movement to throw a wrench in the gears and disrupt the war machine. That means coming together wherever and whenever we can and talking with other workers and unionists about our shared struggle with Palestine” said NYC Labor For Palestine on Instagram on November 28, 2025.

“The Brooklyn contingent to the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is meeting at the Central Park information kiosk a few steps into the park on the east side of Columbus Circle. We will gather at 12:45pm and head over to the protest together. Bring your friends! Bring your partner! Bring your boss! I’m sure your mom wants to come, bring her!” said the Central Brooklyn Working Group of the Shut It Down For Palestine Coalition on Instagram on November 26, 2025.

“This Saturday, November 29th, is the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. Our Queens comrades will be taking to the streets to show up for Palestine! JOIN OUR CONTINGENT! Let’s show New York and the world that we will not stop, we will not rest until Palestine is free!” said the Queens NYC contingent of the Shut It Down for Palestine coalition on Instagram on November 26, 2025.

“Since 1978, the world has observed the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People every November 29th. Fom the occupied West Bank to Gaza, Palestinians continue to face a genocide, despite a so-called ceasefire, at the hands of the Israeli military. The UN Security Council just approved a resolution that paves the path towards an American occupation of Gaza.

Despite the dire political moment, popular attention is shifting away from Gaza as the US-backed Israeli genocide becomes the new status quo. This year, international solidarity is more crucial than ever to ensure that the world will not look away from Palestine in their struggle against genocide, for freedom, self-determination, and the right of return.

The global fight for a free Palestine comes from a long lineage of struggle and solidarity. Among the leaders of this liberatory movement are artists.

Inevitably, oppressed people everywhere will seek — and gain — their freedom. And the global movement to gain that liberation supports Palestinians’ steadfast struggle of over 77 years for liberation.

Another world is possible. Together, we will never stop fighting for a future where Palestinians can live their lives with dignity and justice.

Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA Commissioner-General: “Today we mark the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

Solidarity has real meaning if it turns into action.

UNRWA embodies the international community’s commitment and support to Palestine Refugees in their daily lives, pending a just and lasting political solution to the longest unresolved refugee crisis in the world.

Every day, UNRWA provides education and primary healthcare to millions of Palestine Refugees across the region.

The plight of Palestine Refugees must be addressed so that the region can find peace and stability for all.”

“We must keep building momentum and increase the pressure with more marches, walk-outs, sit-ins, and other forms of direct action directed at the political offices, businesses, and workplaces that fund, invest, and collaborate with Israeli genocide and occupation.”_www.shutitdown4palestine.org
