Manahatta, Lenapehoking (Manhattan, New York City) – Rally and march against the leader of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the United States Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem and ICE agents in Manhattan, New York City, on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

The rally was in Foley Square. New Yorkers marched to One World Trade Center, where Kristi Noem was having a press conference. The demonstration was organized by The People’s Forum, Party for Socialism and Liberation and other organizations.

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, an ICE agent EXECUTED legal observer Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis.

Renee Nicole Good was a 37-year-old mother. She had two sons and a daughter. Mattie Weiss is raising money for Good’s family.

Good’s mother, Donna Ganger, told the Minnesota Star Tribune newspaper, “She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”

U.S. Border Patrol shot and injured two people in Portland on Thursday, January 8, 2026. The shooting, which happened in a hospital parking lot in East Portland, came the day after an immigration agent in Minneapolis shot and murdered Renee Nicole Good, a U.S. citizen in her car.

Authorities in Portland said a man and a woman were shot by two Border Patrol agents during a traffic stop around 2:15 p.m. and taken to local hospitals.
