I interviewed rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, a member of the organization Neturei Karta International.
War criminals, terrorists, zionists Amir Eshel and Amikam Norkin, both former commanders of the Israeli Air Force, took the stage at the 2026 Jerusalem Post Annual Conference on June 1, 2026.
The event was held at the event venue “583 Park Ave” at the corner of East 63rd St and Park Ave in the Lenox Hill neighborhood of Manhattan. The venue has been home to the Third Church of Christ, Scientist, of New York City since 1923.
New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers closed streets around the building to protect war criminals and zionists supporters of the Israel terrorism, genocide and ethnic cleansing against people in Palestine and Lebanon. Perhaps those people participated in the pro-genocide parade in New York City, on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
One of the NYPD officers was detective John P. Young, badge #56 (https://www.50-a.org/officer/QF9V). Search for NYPD officers on www.50-a.org. Read about what NYPD Young and other NYPD cops did to Jonathan Maldon on October 11, 2017. “JONATHAN MALDON, Plaintiff, -against- THE CITY OF NEW YORK, POLICE OFFICER JOHN YOUNG (tax # 954437), CAPTAIN WILLIAM TOBIN, UNDERCOVER OFFICERS JOHN DOES 1 & 2, POLICE OFFICERS JOHN DOES 1-5.” Maybe, you will be surprised. It was like a horror movie!
Peaceful pro-Palestine, anti-genocide New Yorkers and journalists had to walk a longer route to get cross the street in front of 583 Park Ave, the location where NYPD officers permitted the protest to take place.
Zionists were harassing and filming protestors all the time. There were many NYPD officers, but they didn’t stop zionists from harassing peaceful New Yorkers.
At least one zionist shook hands with one of the NYPD police chiefs. It seems they are friends. Perhaps that is why, when zionists attack protesters and journalists, NYPD officers do not arrest the violent zionists.
“While anti-Zionist Jews were protesting the Israel Day Parade in NYC (on Sunday, May 31, 2026), they became the target of a Zionist hate crime. but the NYPD released the suspect without charges. It’s time to recognize the danger to the world: Zionism,” said the organization Neturei Karta International on X. Click here to watch the video. Click here to watch another video.
“Today in New York, former Israeli Air Force (IAF) commanders Amir Eshel and Amikam Norkin are attending the Jerusalem Post conference.
Both Eshel and Norkin oversaw brutal bombing campaigns on Gaza during their tenures and are complicit in mass atrocities committed against the Palestinian people. Their presence in our city must not be normalized.
We demand that these war criminals be investigated, arrested, and prosecuted under the US War Crimes Act and international law.
Their attendance at this conference must be condemned by governments around the world and investigated by New York elected officials. We cannot allow individuals accused of overseeing war crimes to move freely through our city without accountability,” said the New York City Chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement on June 1, 2026.
On May 29, 2026, the Hind Rajab Foundation said, “At a time when the IAF is bombing civilians across Gaza and Lebanon, neither Norkin nor Eshel should be welcome in New York City, the United States, or anywhere except a courtroom.
HRF sent a letter today to New York City Mayor Zohran Mandani, urging him to reaffirm his support for international law and to forcefully repudiate the presence of both individuals in the city.
Under the War Crimes Act, the US Department of Justice can prosecute individuals accused of war crimes for actions committed anywhere in the world, at any time, regardless of the perpetrator’s nationality. The decision to prosecute, however, is discretionary. In other words, while the United States has the authority and ability to undertake these prosecutions, it has historically declined to do so for political reasons. The United States remains a site of impunity and complicity, but this is a choice. The law is clear; all that is lacking is political will.
The Hind Rajab Foundation is committed to fighting for accountability for these crimes and all others perpetrated by the Israeli military until the cycle of impunity is broken. Along with people of conscience around the world, we must demand that all states fulfill their international and domestic legal obligations and bring perpetrators like Eshel and Norkin to justice — nothing less is acceptable.”

“On June 1, two former Israeli Air Force (IAF) commanders, Amir Eshel and Amikam Norkin, are set to attend the Jerusalem Post Conference in New York City. Both Eshel and Norkin’s tenures are marked by brutal bombing campaigns on Gaza and mass atrocities committed against the Palestinian people.
We demand that these war criminals be arrested and prosecuted under the US War Crimes Act. The IAF carried out thousands of bombing campaigns over the course of the genocide in Gaza, murdering hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
We call on Mayor Zohran Mamdani and all elected officials in NYC to condemn the presence of these war criminals in our city and to call for their prosecution under the War Crimes Act.
Join us in the streets to demand justice for Palestine,” said the New York City Chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement on May 30, 2026.
