Tuesday, June 2, 2026, marks two years since Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo was elected President of Mexico.
On Sunday, June 2, 2024, millions of people in Mexico, the United States, and other countries voted for Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo for President of Mexico.
Claudia Sheinbaum began her administration on October 1, 2024, and will conclude her presidential term on September 30, 2030.
On Sunday, May 31, 2026, the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, commemorated the second anniversary of her electoral victory with a government report delivered at the Monument to the Revolution in Mexico City. The event drew an attendance of 130,000 people. Across the country, a total of 850,000 people attended related events.
Two years after the triumph of the “Second Floor” of the Fourth Transformation: Mexico has already changed; nothing and no one will stop the transformation, declared the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, on May 31, 2026.
According to the Mexican government, “The report titled Honesty, Results, Love for the People and the Homeland. Accountability Two Years After the Triumph was attended by 850,000 Mexicans—both at the Monument to the Revolution and in public squares across 30 states of the country.”
The Mexican government adds, “From the Monument to the Revolution, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo reaffirmed and made it clear that Mexico has already changed, and that nothing and no one will halt the transformation currently underway—driven by an awakened and organized people who determine their own destiny as a free, democratic, independent, and sovereign nation—one that collaborates and coordinates, but never subordinates itself. Consequently, she issued a call for people to take to all public squares, starting next week, to hold assemblies and inform the public that the homeland is not for sale—rather, it is to be loved and defended—and that foreign interference is not accepted in Mexico.” Click here to read the full press release in Spanish.
