New Yorkers outside The New York Times: “Israel is committing war crimes, New York Times, where is your headline?” “Israel is burning children, New York Times, where is your headline?” “Israel is a terrorist state, New York Times, where is your headline?” “Israel is still killing Gaza’s children. Why is western corporate media silent?” (some pictures below).
Anti-genocide protestors had pictures of Palestinian journalists Ismail Al-Ghoul and Rami Al-Refee, who were murdered by the terrorist, zionist state of Israel on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
Pro-Palestine demonstrators also had a picture of Palestinian journalist Anas Al-Sharif, who was murdered by the apartheid, fascist entity on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Protestors had a banner with the message: “Israel is torturing and killing Dr. Abu Safiya. Free him now! And all Palestinian hostages.”
The terrorist, apartheid state of Israel has murdered more than 309 journalists in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen and the region since October 2023.
NYPD officers saw this zionist woman harassing peaceful New Yorkers and they didn’t say anything to her. NYPD cops let the zionist harass protestors.
The Republican Party and the Democratic Party in the United States of America keep giving billions of our US tax dollars to the terrorist, zionist entity.
“A group of autonomous anti-genocide protesters did another NYC media crawl exposing western legacy media’s complicity in the ongoing US-Israel genocide of Palestinians. The stops included NBC, CBS, NYT, and News Corp. In their “reporting” on Palestine-“israel,” when have these media properly mentioned the crucial fact that 80% of Gaza’s Palestinians are stateless refugees and have been so for decades? They are Palestinians and their children and grandchildren who were robbed and expelled from their homes in what is now “israel” on the basis that they are not jewish by western-superpower-backed European Zionists in 1947/48 and later years. Today, there are 8 million Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and elsewhere. Six million of them are registered in the United Nations as refugees. Their right of return to their stolen homes in what is now “israel” is enshrined in international law and UNGA 194. Their robber “israel” has obstructed their right of return for decades on the basis that they are not Jewish. The NYT understands that this colossal injustice is at the heart of what the (toilet) paper of record calls “the conflict.” But instead of properly including this in its “reporting,” NYT, in a leaked 2024 internal memo, instructs its journalists to avoid using the word Palestine and Palestinian “refugee camps,” which are camps that house stateless Palestinian refugees in extremely difficult conditions in Gaza, the West Bank, and areas outside historical Palestine. Again, these refugees are registered in the UN’s UNRWA as refugees. They carry refugee ID cards issued by a UN agency. NYT wants to erase them in order to continue to cover up israel’s heinous, decades-long crimes against Palestinians. This is just one of countless acts of egregious journalistic malpractice the Zionist paper has done for many years. Unsubscribe from western legacy media. For honest reporting on Palestine, follow Palestinian journalists, US-based Electronic Intifada and Mondoweiss, and Middle East Monitor to name a few,” wrote saltwater elk on Instagram on August 2, 2026.
Palestinians and their allies will have a week of action in Manhattan, New York City, from August 10th to August 16th. They will honor Palestinian journalist Anas Al-Sharif and all of the 309+ martyred journalists in Palestine, Lebanon and the region.

Palestinian journalists Ismail Al-Ghoul and Rami Al-Refee (often noted in reports alongside variations like Sami Al-Rifi) were murdered by the terrorist, zionist, apartheid state of Israel in the Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
Both Palestinian journalists were wearing press vests and traveling in a vehicle clearly marked as a press vehicle. Ismail al-Ghoul and Rami al-Rifi were working for Al Jazeera.
In a statement, Al Jazeera Media Network called the killings a “targeted assassination” by Israeli forces and pledged to “pursue all legal actions to prosecute the perpetrators of these crimes”.
Press freedom organizations, including the Committee to Protect Journalists, Reporters Without Borders, denounced the deaths and highlighted the extreme dangers faced by Palestinian journalists working in Gaza.
“CPJ is dismayed by the news that Al Jazeera TV reporter Ismail Al Ghoul and cameraman Rami Al Refee were killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza. Journalists are civilians and should never be targeted. Israel must explain why two more Al Jazeera journalists have been killed in what appears to be a direct strike,” said Committee to Protect Journalists CEO Jodie Ginsberg in New York on July 31, 2024.
“Al Jazeera journalists Ismail al-Ghoul and Rami al-Rifi were reporting live from the al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza city, shortly before an Israeli strike hit their car, killing them both. Footage published by their colleague Anas al-Sharif shortly after the strike at around 4PM on 31 July shows both reporters killed inside an isolated white car in the middle of an empty street, visibly damaged by a direct strike. Al-Sharif said both reporters were found decapitated. They were wearing their press vests,” said Reporters Without Borders (RSF) on Aug 1, 2024.

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, Palestinian journalists Anas Al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal, working for Al Jazeera, were assassinated by the terrorist, zionist, apartheid state of Israel on a media tent outside Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The terrorist, apartheid, zionist entity also murdered journalists Moamen Aliwa, Mohammed al-Khalidi, including Al-Sharif’s nephew.
On August 10, 2025, Al Jazeera called on the international community and all relevant organisations to “take decisive measures to halt this ongoing genocide and end the deliberate targeting of journalists”.
“Al Jazeera emphasises that immunity for perpetrators and the lack of accountability embolden Israel’s actions and encourage further oppression against witnesses to the truth,” the network said.
In the United States of America, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party keep supporting zionist war criminals, terrorists Benjamin Netanyahu, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Bezalel Smotrich, Yoav Gallant and many others in the zionist, apartheid, terrorist entity.
On Wednesday, July 21, 2026, New York City mayor, Zohran Kwame Mamdani, published a video tittle, “Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal.” Millions of people across the world have watched the video on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X, Tiktok, etc.
WESTERN MEDIA STOP YOUR LIES

Join us for the almost 2 year anniversary of israel’s assassination of Palestinian journalists Ismail al Ghoul and Sami Al-Rifi (glory to them) on 7/31/2024 as we demand justice, accountability, and call out western media’s racist war-mongering and genocide propaganda.
Corporate mainstream media has blood on its hands! For decades they have manufactured consent for “Israel”’s occupation and genocide of Palestine. And today they continue to whitewash the atrocities the U.S. and “Israel” are committing in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Iran. Join us in a Midtown media crawl to call out these institutions’ lies!

Exposing The New York Times. The Paper of Zionist Record.
“The New York Times is an accomplice to the genocide in Gaza, serving as a mouthpiece for American imperialism and shaping elite consensus around foreign policy. Times editors have told reporters to avoid “inflammatory terms” like “genocide,” “ethnic cleansing,” and “occupied territory” — and even to avoid saying “Palestine.” Headline writers have manipulated the English language and deployed tricks of syntax to obscure the U.S. and Israel’s perpetration of atrocities and blame Palestinians for their own oppression. Reporters have printed the Israeli military’s lies,” says Writers Against the War on Gaza on newyorkwarcrimes.com.
Writers Against the War on Gaza adds, “The Times’ commitment to Zionism is systemic and generational. For decades, critics of U.S. foreign policy have offered crucial analyses of the paper’s bias. This dossier borrows from and adds to that body of criticism by exposing the material and ideological ties to occupation and apartheid held by many high-ranking editors, journalists, and executive officers at the Times. The employees included in this dossier are individually as well as structurally incentivized to run cover for war criminals. That these individuals are empowered to frame the discourse around Israel’s genocide is an indictment of the entire institution of The New York Times.”
Writers Against the War on Gaza also says, “Such an indictment demands a public response. Journalistic malpractice enables the weapons shipments that sustain the war on Gaza. The mass slaughter of a besieged people must be named for what it is: a genocide. The New York Times must be held accountable for its complicity. We continue to call on readers of the Times and members of the public to boycott, divest, and unsubscribe from the paper of criminal record. You can learn more about our campaign here.” Read more on newyorkwarcrimes.com.
More than 300 writers, scholars, and public figures refuse to contribute to New York Times opinion until these three demands are met.
More than 300 writers, scholars, and public figures have made a collective commitment to hold the New York Times accountable for its complicity with Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people.
Journalists, novelists, essayists, scholars, lawyers, poets, political analysts, and various public figures – including 150 past NYT contributors – have pledged to withhold contributions for the NYT Opinion section until the Times commits to a set of three demands:
1) Conduct a review of anti-Palestinian bias in the newsroom and produce new editorial standards for Palestine coverage.
2) Retract the widely debunked investigation “Screams Without Words.”
3) Publish an editorial calling for a U.S. arms embargo of Israel.
These reasonable and actionable demands have been outlined by a coalition of organizations including Writers Against the War on Gaza (WAWOG), the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), the Palestinian Feminist Collective (PFC), PAL-Awda: The Right to Return Coalition, National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), the US Palestinian Community Network, Palestine Solidarity Working Group (PSWG), Healthcare Workers for Palestine (HCW4P), the Adalah Justice Project, and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
As Palestinians in Gaza return to their demolished homes and take stock of the destruction Israel has wrought with two years of air strikes, massacres, and starvation, it is our responsibility in the West to hold complicit institutions to account for these crimes. We call on past contributors to the Times, as well as potential contributors – those invited to write or covered in its pages – to use their leverage such that the Times can never again manufacture consent for mass slaughter, torture, and displacement.
