The termination of TPS for Haitian citizens took effect on July 27, 2026.

The end of TPS leaves hundreds of thousands of Haitian nationals in the United States without protection against deportation and without the work permits associated with TPS.

People from different organizations spoke in support of Haitian migrants and other migrants.

New Yorkers demand an immigration reform for ALL undocumented migrants in the United States of America.

There will be a rally to demand justice for Edwin Jovanny Lopez-Cornejo and all the victims of ICE terror in Times Square (West 43rd and Broadway). Manhattan, New York City, on Saturday, August 8, 2026. 4pm.

The Party for Socialism and Liberation (pslweb.org) and the Green Party of the United States (www.gp.org/social_justice) support an immigration reform for all undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States.

Former U.S. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden promised an immigration reform for at least 12 million undocumented migrants and did NOT fulfill their campaign promise. Former President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris once again promised an immigration reform for undocumented migrants and, once again, did NOT fulfill their campaign promise.

“On Thursday, June 25th, 2026, the Supreme Court in a 6-3 decision overturned all lower court orders to clear a path for the Department of Homeland Security to unjustly end temporary protected status—a direct attack crafted by the Trump administration to end legal protections for migrants fleeing violence and or natural disaster in Haiti and Syria. The TPS program has been active since 1990, offering humanitarian aid to individuals from nations affected by war, natural disasters, or other crises. Those who receive TPS have legal status in the U.S. and can request work authorization for a period of up to 18 months, with the possibility of extensions. This ruling will not only expose hundreds of thousands more people to possible deportation but also end the very program that protected 1.3 million people from 17 countries, including 350,000 Haitians and 6,000 Syrians,” said co-coordinators of Caribbean Defense, Kerbie Joseph & Lyndon Nicholas on their website caribbeandefense.org, on June 25, 2026.

The Legalization For All Network (L4A) condemns Trump’s racist attacks against Haitian immigrants in Ohio who are being summoned by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to wear ankle monitors until their deportation hearing or be deported immediately. We call on member organizations and allies of the immigrant community to rally in defense of Haitian immigrants.

On June 25, the Trump administration terminated Temporary Protected Status (TPS)—provides protection from deportation, work authorization, and travel permission—for Haitian and Syrian immigrants following a far-right ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court (Mullin v. Doe) where 6 of the 9 judges voted to allow Trump to terminate this status for the two immigrant communities

Within a day, 300,000 Haitian and Syrian immigrants became undocumented and at risk for deportation.

We call on allies in the immigrants rights movement to stand in solidarity with Haitian and Syrian immigrants to hit the streets, no deportations and defend TPS against Trump’s racist attacks.
