“The New York-New Jersey Cuba Si Coalition brings together dozens of organizations and activists in opposition to bipartisan Washington’s decades-long economic and political war against Cuba. Our Coalition organizes united actions and campaigns against US anti-Cuba economic and travel sanctions.

Our Coalition is an important component of a growing national, cross-border, hemispheric, and international solidarity movement fighting for the normalization of US-Cuba relations. We are a member organization of the National Network on Cuba and support the International US-Cuba Normalization Conference Coalition.

NY-NJ Cuban Si was founded in 2015 following the release of the remaining Cuban Five political prisoners and the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Cuba. Our Coalition has initiated and hosted the 1st National Conference for the Full Normalization of US-Cuba relations in March 2017 in NYC as well as the March 2023 International US-Cuba Normalization Conference in NYC.

Cuba Si is focused on Cuba-centered demands. We are non-sectarian and inclusive. We reach out to all organizations and activists — whatever the inevitable different ranges of views on other burning US and international questions — to build a mass united front against the brutal US anti-Cuba blockade and the obscene placement of the Cuban state on the “State Sponsors of Terrorism” (SSOT) list without even a pretense of facts or evidence.

Cuba Si registers the unbroken continuity of solidarity and friendship with the Cuban Revolution in the New York-New Jersey region since before and after its January 1, 1959 triumph,” says the New York-New Jersey Cuba Si Coalition on its website cubasinynjcoalition.org.
