The Brooklyn Navy Yard is a part of the u.s. military industrial complex contributing to the ecocide of this planet. They have leases with tech companies that use AI to develop weapons for the department of defense, the largest emitter of CO2 on the planet. DBNY has compiled a list of companies with military contracts and grants to expose the hypocrisy of the Navy Yard. These companies are dedicated to destabilizing the planet and profiting from the climate crisis.

BNY says it supports “climate innovation” but this is just a cheap attempt to greenwash their participation in ecocide. Join us to call them out and demand they kick out all war profiteers! It is our duty to shut them down: Radical AI, Pliant Energy, Actasys, Quennect, Cohesive Robotics, and Yank technologies!

Is New York City Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani a hypocrite?

On September 21, 2026, DEMILITARIZE BROOKLYN NAVY YARD shared a video on Instagram and said, “Hey @nycmayor why are you reappointing BNYDC leadership that protects genocide and ICE suppliers, war profiteers, and climate crisis aggravators on city-owned land at the Brooklyn Navy Yard (BNY)?

On July 22, 2026, Mamdani reappointed Lindsay Greene as the President and CEO of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC), despite the DBNY campaign exposing BNYDC’s protection of ICE and genocide supplier Crye Precision and making Lindsay Greene’s complicity widely known. Lindsay Greene’s previous position at Goldman Sachs was in “urban redevelopment,” which we know is code for gentrification and displacing low-income Black and Brown communities. Now, as BNYDC CEO, Greene not only continues to gentrify NYC but also protects the supply chains of genocide, deportation, policing, and war.

If BNYDC leadership refuses to ensure that our city-owned land adheres to city laws and is not being used for slaughter and climate destruction, then they are unfit to be a steward of it. In keeping with his campaign promises and Executive Order 13, Mamdani has an OBLIGATION to replace them.

The public deserves BNYDC leadership that listens to community needs and invests in companies that adhere to NYC sanctuary city laws and fight climate change — not ACTIVELY contribute to it by supplying genocide.

Yet they support the u. s. military industrial complex with millions of dollars in contracts with the department of war.

The u.s. military is the largest emitter of greenhouse gases in the world and contributes to climate change.

The Yard leases to companies like Crye Precision and Radical AI, making them complicit in ecocide.

Their attempts to greenwash their image and obscure their cooperation with the military cannot fool us.

So while BNY is PUBLIC land that is mandated to prioritize minority and women-owned businesses, they are actually leasing space to multi-million dollar AI companies and robotics & weapons manufacturers that supply the israeli occupation forces, the u.s. military, and ICE. Sept. 23 is the next meeting of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) Board, and we will be there to let them know that New Yorkers don’t want their public lands and tax dollars to go to companies that destroy the earth and people of the earth.
