#ResistFromDay1: People’s protectors arrested in front of Trump Tower (PHOTOS/VIDEOS).

Friday, January 20th, 2017. New York City – Councilman Jumaane Williams, Jumaane’s mother, Councilman Carlos Menchaca, New York Senator Marisol Alcantara, Kirsten John Foy, Minister, President of Brooklyn Chapter of the National Action Network, Margalit Ewart, and another person were arrested in front of Trump Tower in Manhattan.

They had a press conference before the civil disobedience. Protectors said they will resist the Trump administration from Day One. They blocked traffic in front of the Trump Tower on 5th Ave and 56th Street. The civil disobedience was in coordinating with the NYPD. The demonstration coincided with the inauguration of Republican President Donald Trump.

Yesterday night, approximately 25 thousand people gathered at Columbus Circle and West Central Park in front of the Trump Hotel to protest the Trump inauguration. See pictures and videos here.

There is a rally and march tonight in Manhattan. People will gather at Foley Square Park and march to the Trump building on Wall Street.

Tomorrow Saturday, January 21st, the Women’s March on Washington D.C. takes place. Thousands and thousands of people are expected to attend the march. I will cover the march.
