NYC, Brooklyn Pride Parade cancelled.

Wednesday, April 22, 2020. New York City – The Brooklyn Pride Parade and all other non-essential events in June have been cancelled to stop the spread of COVID-19, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Monday, April 20, 2020.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, almost 15,000 people have died of COVID-19 in New York City. More than 45,000 people have died in the United States of America. New York City is the epicenter of COVID-19. The United States of America is now at the heart of the global coronavirus crisis.

(Letitia Ann “Tish” James is a member of the Democratic Party. She is the Attorney General of New York having won the 2018 election to succeed appointed attorney general Barbara Underwood. James is the first African-American and first woman to be elected to the position.)
