New Yorkers: No another war for oil.

Sunday, December 7, 2025. Lenapehoking (New York City) – The “National Day of Action. No War on Venezuela — stop the war before it starts” in Manahatta, Lenapehoking (Manhattan; New York City), was on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Some of the speakers were from the ANSWER Coalition, Party for Socialism and Liberation, Palestinian Assembly for Liberation, former New York City Councilmember Charles Barron, Andre Easton, candidate running for the United States Congress to represent New York’s 15th Congressional District, etc.

After the rally in Times Square, people marched to the News Corporation building (Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, New York Post) located on 1112 6th Ave or Avenue of the Americas, where they ended the protest.

There were many New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers. NYPD sergeant Joel A. Mottola (www.50-a.org/officer/8ZQ5) and NYPD Timothy J. Beaudette, Deputy Chief at Patrol Borough (www.50-a.org/officer/ENM7) threatened to arrest a woman for the “crime” of using a megaphone in front of the News Corporation building. To avoid arrest, the peaceful protester stopped using the megaphone.

“Today, in New York City people are gathered on the streets today to make it clear: we can stop this war before it start! NO WAR ON VENEZUELA!” said The People’s Forum on December 6, 2025.

The People’s Forum added, “The majority of people in the United States stand completely against war on Venezuela and demand that working people’s needs across the country be met! The catastrophic war drive will do nothing but line the pockets of the ultra-wealthy! We say no!”

The People’s Forum also said, “NYC IS MARCHING AGAINST U.S WAR ON VENEZUELA! Over 65 cities around the country are taking the streets today to stop the war before it starts.”

On December 6, 2025, Andre Easton said, “I stand with the majority of people in this country who do not want another war for oil.”

Andre added, “37% of children in NY-15 live below the poverty line, while Trump spends millions of our tax dollars each day preparing to launch a war against Venezuela.”

“If working people had control of that money, there would be no more war, and no more poverty,” said Andre Easton, a candidate running for the United States Congress to represent New York’s 15th Congressional District in the Bronx.

“The Trump Administration’s repeated strikes in the Caribbean have shocked the world as brazen violations of international law. Pete Hegseth’s order to kill all survivors of the boats disabled by US missile strikes in the open seas is an obvious war crime. The missile strikes against boats in the Caribbean and the Pacific is a clear violation of international law, as would be all future strikes by the Pentagon.

70% of the people in the U.S. oppose military intervention against Venezuela, and are here to put a stop to the war before it starts!” said The New York City branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) on December 6, 2025.

The PSL added, “New York City protestors have rallied in front of News Corps, headquarters of Fox News to demand NO WAR ON VENEZUELA! They’re calling out the complicity of corporate media in drumming up support for another war based on lies!”

On December 6, 2025, CODEPINK said, “Protestors are rallying in Times Square in New York City to oppose U.S. war on Venezuela.

Trump has sent over 15,000 troops to surround Venezuela, continues war crimes in the Caribbean, and ramps up threats of invasion. We must stop this war before it begins.”

The New York City branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation said on December 7, 2025, “Yesterday New York City joined over 65 cities as part of a national day of action demanding NO WAR ON VENEZUELA!

Twenty two years after the US invaded Iraq, the Trump administration is preparing a major war against Venezuela — another war based on lies. One billion of our tax dollars have already been spent to mobilize 15,000 US troops and massive naval assets.

The billionaires and their enforcers in the Pentagon high command want to control Latin America in order to loot its natural resources, exploit the people, and dominate their markets. Venezuela’s massive oil reserves, which have been publicly owned and used for the benefit of the people are an especially coveted prize.

Our tax dollars should not be wasted on a military machine used to bully and blackmail other countries! NO BLOOD FOR OIL!”
