The rally was in Times Square (42 Street and Broadway). The march was to Herald Square, near the Empire State Building, where they ended the protest.
On Friday, March 13, 2026, Palestine supporters in New York City and across the world marked “Al-Quds Day” as the zionist, apartheid, terrorist entity (Israel) continues its attacks on Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
Al-Quds is an Arabic name for Jerusalem. Al-Quds is commonly used by Arab populations and throughout the Muslim world to refer to Jerusalem. Al-Quds Day is an annual, international day of rallies held on the last Friday of Ramadan to express support for Palestine and oppose zionist control.
The terrorist state of Israel has been bombing Lebanon. The apartheid, terrorist entity and the terrorist United States of America have been bombing Iran since Saturday, February 28, 2026.
“The International Day of Al Quds takes place annually on the last Friday of Ramadan with marches and demonstrations held across the world. The objective of this day is to take a clear stance against worldwide oppression, specifically highlighting the Zionist settler colonial occupation of Palestine.
Less than a year after the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, Imam Khomeini, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, made a historical announcement appointing the last Friday of the Holy Month of Ramadan as Al Quds Day. During this declaration, Imam Khomeini called on Muslims and justice seekers around the world to join forces to proclaim support for the Palestinian cause. Upon this declaration, millions answer this call worldwide,” said Al Quds Committee New York on March 3, 2026.
Global Mobilization for Al-Quds Day!
“On March 13, 2026, we take to the streets in defense of the oppressed. We refuse to let the imperialist axis drag us into another war. We stand as one against the drive for war on Iran and the ongoing U.S.-backed genocide in Palestine.
This Al-Quds Day, we assert that the right to resist occupation is undeniable. From Venezuela to Cuba, from Gaza to Tehran, we oppose the empire’s grip on our world—and its repression here at home.
Join the emergency actions worldwide. Whether on campus, in your union hall, or at the factory gates, organize now. Let’s make March 13th a day that halts the war machine.

LAND DAY 2026
Sunday, March 29, 2026. 3 PM.
Bryant Park NYPL Steps.
Manhattan, New York City.
For the last 50 years, Palestinians have commemorated Land Day as a promise to remain in, struggle for, and return to our lands in Palestine. It is a day of unity and action in the fight for liberation from Zionist subjugation, and a promise to be unrelenting in our efforts to free every inch of our land.
This year, the U.S. and Israel continue to wage a war of annihilation against our people in Palestine and across the region. In Gaza, an ongoing genocide of siege and destruction continues, with the accelerated efforts to usurp Palestinian land and expel the residents who have nourished it for generations. In the West Bank, settler expansion and attacks are at an all time high, with more land grabs, expulsions, and arrest campaigns happening on the daily. In Lebanon and Iran, a war is being waged in the name of Zionism and U.S. imperialism as an extension of the genocide in Gaza, and as punishment for daring to resist Israeli terror in the region.
Our duty to stand with Palestine is as urgent as ever. Join us in the streets in New York City to assert our right to resist, to remain, and to return to our homelands, to live free and dignified.
Until liberation and return, see you in the streets,” said the New York City Chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement on March 8, 2026.
