“The NYC Dyke March is a protest march, not a parade,” say organizers.
This year’s theme is “Hot Dykes Melt Ice!”
The NYC Dyke March is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026. The grassroots, all-volunteer protest will step off at 5:00 PM from Bryant Park and will march down Fifth Avenue to Washington Square Park.
The Dyke March operates without city permits or corporate sponsorships. Organizers emphasize it as an expression of First Amendment rights rather than a standard parade.
“Tens of thousands of Dykes take the streets each year celebrating our diverse lives, highlighting our presence, and protesting the discrimination, harassment, and violence we face.
The march is committed to accessibility. Resources include sighted guides, wheelchairs, ASL interpretation, and transportation assistance for disabled and chronically ill dykes who wishes to participate,” say organizers on their website www.nycdykemarch.com
