The first terrorist attacks in what we now know as the United States of America were against Native American nations.
White Europeans STOLE lands from Native Americans and committed genocide and ethnic cleansing against Native Americans. People in the United States of America, we live on STOLEN lands.
What White Europeans did to Native Americans was TERRORISM. What the United States of America did to Native Americans was TERRORISM.

Amy Goodman was the mistress of ceremonies at the rally. Amy Goodman has been the main host and executive producer of Democracy Now!
Undocumented immigrant workers were killed during the attacks on September 11, 2001.
The majority of undocumented workers that were killed were employed at the Windows on the World restaurant, atop the North Tower.
Families of these victims faced major legal hurdles to prove their loved ones had been at the towers because official records were often lacking.
Thousands of undocumented immigrants later worked on the dangerous cleanup and recovery at ground zero, often without proper safety gear or medical protections.
Thousands of undocumented migrants cleaned up ground zero, but now many of them have to hide from the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) TERROR.
The United States government should grant citizenship to all undocumented migrants who worked at ground zero.
Before the attacks in the United States of America on September 11, 2001, the government of the United States of America helped to carry out the terrorist attack in Chile against President Salvador Allende on September 11, 1973.
After the attacks on September 11, 2001, the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, the United States of America invaded Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003.
Approximately one million people were murdered in Afghanistan, Iraq and other countries. Millions more have died indirectly due to the collapse of infrastructure, economies, and healthcare systems.
More than a million children in Afghanistan and Iraq were orphaned or lost one of their parents due to the United States’ invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq.
A total of 2,977 people died during the attacks on September 11, 2001, in the United States of America. More have died or suffered from long-term illnesses caused by exposure to toxic dust and debris at the attack sites.
On September 8, 2026, New York City Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani released thousands of pages of city records about the air quality after the attacks on September 11, 2001.
The papers show that city leaders knew the air near Ground Zero was toxic and dangerous in late 2001. This happened even though officials told the public the air was safe to breathe.
The release settled a legal battle with advocacy groups and first responders who wanted these files opened for years.
The president of the United States of America, Donald Trump is bombing and murdering children, mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, etc. in Iran. Donald Trump is also bombing and murdering people in the Caribbean and the Pacific.

?
Please feel free to join us for the entirety of the event or for the portion of the program that you connect with the most.
??
Program:
Union Square Park – Reflecting & Recommitting – 5PM
South Plaza, near Gandhi Statue
We will highlight the mission and work of Peaceful Tomorrows, reflecting on 25 years of advocacy, including efforts to support survivors of violence, oppose torture, promote accountability, and challenge policies rooted in the “War on Terror” framework.
The program will feature guest speakers from partner organizations who have worked alongside us in advancing shared commitments to peace, justice, and human rights. Together, we will explore how the legacy of 9/11 continues to shape our world and why creating a more peaceful and just world through the rule of law, human rights, and compassion, not endless war, remains as urgent today as ever.
?
As we mark this milestone anniversary, we invite all who share these values to join us in recommitting ourselves to a more peaceful and just future. By remembering the past we can help build a world that rejects cycles of violence and embraces justice, accountability, and our shared humanity.
