Saturday, June 6, 2020. New York City – On Friday, June 5, 2020, I covered the rally and march in Brooklyn to demand justice for Breonna Taylor and to celebrate her birthday. On june 5, it would have been Breonna Taylor’s 27th birthday.
People gathered in front of the Brooklyn Library. The marched to Brooklyn Borough Hall. From Brooklyn Borough Hall protestors marched to different places in Brooklyn. Many protestors were arrested by NYPD officers.
There are more rallies and marches today, Saturday, June 6, 2020. One of those protests is from Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn to City Hall in Manhattan at 12:00 P.M.

People want NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio to cancel the curfew. Bill de Blasio says he will not cancel the curfew. He says the curfew will end on Sunday, June 7, 2020.
Yesterday, June 5, The NYCLU said on Twitter, “@NYCMayor, New Yorkers are under attack from your police department. If you extend New York City’s curfew, we’ll see you in court. @LegalAidNYC @theCCR @HU_TMCRC”
Bernie Sanders said on Friday, June 5, 2020, “I’m very proud of the people standing up for justice and taking to the streets. When we study history we look at pivotal moments — the Civil War, the Great Depression, World War II. People will look back on this time as one of those moments.”
Bernie Sanders was arrested when he was 21 years old. He was arrested because he was fighting against racism, white supremacy and police brutality. Bernie went to the March in Washington D.C. with Martin Luther King Jr.
The New York Primary is on June 23, 2020. Bernie supporters ask people to vote for Bernie.
