Monday, June 8, 2020. New York City – Today marks the14th day of protests across the US following the killing of George Floyd. Today, I covered four protests in Brooklyn. Many of the protestors say they want NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio to defund the police.
There will be more protests on, Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

I am not surprise that Donald Trump and Joe Biden agree. Trump and Biden do not want to Defund The Police. Joe Biden is not listening to protestors.
Shaun King said on Twitter today, “Of course he does. He is literally the modern architect of mass incarceration. Joe Biden opposes defunding the police, campaign says.”
Why would people vote for politicians that will not do anything to end police brutality in the country?
Joe Biden is pro-militarization of the police. Biden is pro-wars. Biden is pro-invasion of countries. Every time U.S. invades a country, U.S. soldiers kill thousands of men, women and children.
Trump and Biden are zionists. Zionists are stealing Palestinians’ land. Zionists are killing Palestinians. Trump and Biden are pro-invasion of countries. Trump and Biden are against Medicare For All. Trump and Biden are two faces of the same coin.
Voters have an option in 2020. People can vote for the Green Party candidate in November 2020. https://www.gp.org/
George Floyd was murdered by four Minneapolis police officers. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (a centrist Democrat) says he also does not want to defund the police.
Many people want mayors to Defund The Police. Others want mayors to Abolish The Police.
On Sunday, June 7, 2020, New York City mayor, Bill de Blasio, pledged to redirect some of NYPD’s funding towards youth and social services.
I think more than one million have been marching in the United States of America and in other countries to demand justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and many other people killed by police in USA and in their own countries.
Julia Conley wrote the article “”Stay in the Streets. It’s Working”: Two Weeks Into Racial Justice Protests, New York State Classifies Use of Chokeholds as Felony” on commondreams.org, “Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Monday urged Americans to stay the course in the massive protests which have been held in cities and towns across the U.S. for the past two weeks, pointing to New York State lawmakers passing long-awaited legislation to classify chokeholds as a felony as evidence the pressure is working.
The Eric Garner Anti-Chokehold Act passed in the New York State Assembly with a vote of 140-3. The bill now heads to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who is expected to sign it into law.”
The Guardian has a list of some of “what the George Floyd protests have achieved in just two weeks.
The first protest that I covered was a student-led rally and march. People gathered at Fort Green Park. From Fort Green Park, people marched to Borough Hall. From Borough Hall they marched across the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall in Manhattan.
The second event was a rally and march by Public Defenders in front of The Supreme Court of the State of New York. They said, “Black Lives Matter to Public Defenders”. They also marched from Brooklyn to Manhattan. The Legal Aid Society said on Twitter, “We march today to demand an end to systemic racism and the police brutality imposed on the communities we serve every day.”
The third protest was “Drums for the Black Lives Movement” at Grand Army Plaza.
The fourth was “Ride Your Bike in Solidarity with BLM” at Grand Army Plaza.
