Join us for a community vigil honoring the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, assassinated by U.S. government forces on March 1st, 2026.
Throughout his life, Ayatollah Khamenei defended the dignity of the Iranian people and stood firmly against z*0n1sm and the criminal Amerikan regime. The Ayatollah also frequently spoke to and materially supported the shared struggle of oppressed Black and brown people in the United States, in Gaza, in the Sahel, and around the world.
In 1985, Khamenei met with the pan-African leader of Burkina Faso, Thomas Sankara. He later voiced support for the Black Lives Matter movement after the martyrdom of Eric Garner. In 2017 he paused a speech to honor Malcolm X and recite Surah Fatihah for Malcolm’s soul. And in 2020, he connected the public execution of George Floyd to the global struggle against Amerikan imperialism, saying it reflected “the nature of the U.S. government.”
This vigil is a solemn reminder that Amerikan colonial violence is a singular evil. We honor all those who have been killed at the hands of Amerikan pigs: from Khamenei to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Hind Rajab, Eric Garner and the more than 165 schoolgirls massacred by Amerikan bombs dropped on Iran just a few days ago (February 28, 2026).

Donald Trump, JD Vance, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency are holding around 200 migrants at the Metropolitan Detention Center, one of them is Venezuelan Rafael Andres Rubio Bohorquez, a NYC Council staffer, who was arrested by ICE on January 12, 2026.
I don’t know, but apparently, Rafael Rubio is against president Nicolás Maduro. The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, who Rubio used to attack, is now being held HOSTAGE at the same Metropolitan Detention Center as Rafael Rubio, Donald Trump KIDNAPPED Maduro on January 3, 2026 and Donald Trump arrested Rubio on January 12, 2026.
