The rally took place outside the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (500 Pearl Street). The march was for a few blocks.
On March 26, 2026, Brooklyn Against War said, “Today we spoke in front the Court House in Solidarity with President Maduro, First Lady Cilia Flores, and the Venezuelan people!
We demand all the charges be dropped and that President Maduro and Flores be returned safely to their homes!”
“Today, as Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores appeared in court for the first time (NOTE: this was the second time. The first time was on January 5, 2026.) since they were abducted by the United States government three months ago, 17 organizations, including the Black Alliance for Peace, gathered to demand their immediate release.
Our solidarity coalition includes the All African Peoples Revolutionary Party, Workers World Party, Brooklyn Against War, Bronx Anti-War Coalition, Black Alliance for Peace, CUNY for Palestine, PALAVER, Code Pink, Arm the Dolls, Diaspora Pa’lante Collective, US Peace Council, Prolibertad Freedom Campaign, Compas De La Diaspora, Black Panther Party Panther Power, Crown Heights Bites Back, Prolibertad Freedom Campaign, and Venezuela Solidarity Network,” said Black Alliance for Peace on Facebook on March 26, 2026. “Today, we took the streets, as President Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores face their 2nd illegitimate trial. We say free Maduro and Cilia! And victory to the Bolivarian revolution!,” said Anti-War Committee DMV on March 26, 2026.
“BAP National Co-coordinator Austin Cole talks about why we must remain in solidarity with Venezuela and the Bolivarian Revolution, as people rally in front of the federal court in Manhattan to demand the U.S. release President Nicolas Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores.
We cannot tolerate this grave violation of human rights and Venezuela’s sovereignty!” said Black Alliance for Peace on March 26, 2026.
On March 26, 2026, the US country chapter of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS US) said, “FREE PRESIDENT MADURO AND FIRST COMBATANT CILIA FLORES!
As the Venezuelan leaders attended their second sham court appearance today in New York, ILPS-US mobilized alongside allies outside the courthouse to demonstrate unwavering solidarity with Venezuelan people against US imperialist aggression.
The US has been carrying out genocide against the Palestinian people, conducting unprovoked bombings against Iran, and ramping up ICE attacks against communities across the country, all while kicking its own citizens off healthcare, shutting down hospitals, drowning students in debt, and failing to house the poor. The US has completely exposed its own depravity and has no political or legal grounds to try another sovereign leader on bogus charges of narco-terrorism.
We encourage the people to continue to take action in solidarity with Venezuela and uplift the global week of action March 26-31 to Destroy US Imperialism! End Imperialist War and Conquest! Take Back Our Peoples’ Land and Sovereignty! Learn more at peoplesstruggle.org/en/march-actions.”
“TODAY: ILPS is on the ground in New York denouncing the sham trial against Venezuelan President Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores. We stand in solidarity with oppressed peoples around the world in their fight against US war, sanctions, and plunder. Hands off Venezuela now! US imperialists out of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Everywhere!” added ILPS US on March 26, 2026.
More information coming soon.
The court hearing of president Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores, originally scheduled for March 17, 2026, was postponed until March 26, 2026, following a request from the US Justice Department.
The hearing follows the initial January 5, 2026, arraignment in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where both, Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores, pleaded not guilty.
It has been almost 3 months since the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant of Venezuela, Cilia Flores, were violently kidnapped by the Donald Trump – JD Vance administration.
On January 3, 2026, the Donald Trump – JD Vance government bombed and invaded Venezuela, murdered at least 100 people, including 32 people from Cuba, kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores.
The United States of America continues to hold President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores hostage at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Lawyers for Maduro and Flores are asking Judge Alvin Hellerstein to dismiss the indictment, because war criminal, zionist, corrupt Donald Trump kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores.
“In January, the U.S. bombed and invaded Venezuela, kidnapping President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores. The U.S. continues to hold President Nicolás Maduro in solitary confinement at MDC Brooklyn.
This is not just about Venezuela — it’s about a broader pattern of U.S. imperialist t-rr-ism across the Global South. From Venezuela to Iran to Cuba to Palestine, the people must rise up against the U.S. imperialist d-ath machine.
Venezuela and Iran have both defended their sovereignty, using national resources for social programs and refusing U.S. domination — and for that, they are targeted.
This moment marks a new phase: open, lawless t-rr-rism carried out with full backing by Western institutions.
FREE NICOLAS MADURO!
FREE CILIA FLORES!
FREE THEM ALL!” said Workers World Party, Brooklyn Against War, PALAVER, Campaign to Free Nicolas Maduro and Cilia Flores, Venceremos Brigade and CUNY for Palestine on Instagram March 20, 2026.
“This Thursday we are mobilizing for court support in SOLIDARITY with the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian Revolution. We are committed to building an anti-imperialist resistance in NYC against the U.S. war machine domestically and globally. We call on others within the NYC community to attend and defend the sovereignty of Venezuela and Cuba, and to oppose the murderous actions of the United States in Our Americas, in Africa, in Palestine and Iran, and imperialist militarism in general. We say NO to economic warfare, political subversion, and the continued militarization of Our Americas by the United States!” said Workers World Party, Diaspora Pa’lante Collective NYC.NJ and Campaign to Free Nicolas Maduro and Cilia Flores on Instagram on March 24, 2026.
