JUSTICE FOR LORENZO & JOAN – NYC RISES UP WITH THE WHOLE COUNTRY!
Saturday, July 18, 2026. 4 PM.
Times Square. 43rd and Broadway.
Manhattan; New York City.
“We’re joining people across the country in the streets to stop ICE’s killing spree. The deaths of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Joan Sebastian Guerrero are the bloody, direct result of the Trump administration’s escalating assault on working-class immigrant communities, fueled by expanded ICE funding and mass deportation policies. These killings are racist, barbaric acts of violence that can only be stopped through a massive nationwide fightback. We refuse to let this violence go unchallenged. The majority of people want justice, equality, and full rights for all immigrants.
In honor of Joan, Lorenzo, and all victims of ICE terror, join us for the National Day of Action!” said the New York City branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation on July 14, 2026.
NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION
Saturday, July 18, 2026. 4 PM.
Times Square. 43rd and Broadway.
Manhattan; New York City.
“The entire country must rise up to stop ICE’s killing spree. On July 7, ICE agents murdered Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston. Today ICE murdered Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Maine.
These deaths are not accidental — they are the direct result of the Trump administration’s war on working-class immigrant communities, a war which is now demanding agents arrest 2,000 people per day.
After the people of Minnesota organized strikes and shutdowns to drive out Operation Metro Surge, ICE tried for several months to “stay out of the headlines.” But ICE’s overall aggressive and violent approach has continued with new tactics, and now a massive budget. Every Congressperson who has voted for ICE funding is responsible for these crimes. ICE may have pulled the trigger but they handed them the guns.
The vast majority of the country opposes the racist deportation drive Trump is waging in our communities. We want justice, equality and full rights for all immigrants. Now we must stand up and refuse to allow this violence to go unchallenged.
In the name of Joan, Lorenzo, Alex Pretti, Renee Nicole Good, Jaime Alanis, Keith Porter and so many other victims of ICE Terror: all out this Saturday, July 18!” said the New York City branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation on July 13, 2026.

Third court hearing for Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores.
Wednesday, July 22, 2026. 8 AM.
Baxter St and Worth St.
Manhattan, New York City.
“On Wednesday, July 22 at 8am, we will be outside the courthouse at Baxter St and Worth St demanding the immediate release of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores, who were kidnapped in a U.S. terrorist attack against Venezuela on January 3rd.
The kidnapping of a sitting president made it clear: Venezuela’s sovereignty is under attack. Now the U.S. and the zionist entity are extending their claws deeper into the country, using earthquake relief as a Trojan horse for occupation and plunder.
We demand the U.S. and the zionist entity out of Venezuela, out of Cuba, and out of all of Latin America.
Free Maduro! Free Cilia! Hands off Venezuela! No war on Cuba!” said Workers World Party on July 7, 2026.
The June 30, 2026, hearing for President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores has been delayed. The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has postponed the proceeding to July 22, 2026. Federal prosecutors requested the delay citing logistical and secure transportation concerns for that specific date.
Initially scheduled for June 30, 2026, the hearing was delayed after federal prosecutors with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York requested a postponement to address logistical and security protocols. President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores remains hostages at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NYC.

Boycott Rockaway Ocean Club & all of the businesses in the Riis Bathhouse!
“”Rockaway Ocean Club” is a flimsy privatization scheme by Aulder Capital, CBSK Development, Brooklyn Bazaar, and Investo Capital (among others) to turn public space into a private club. Riis was built for all of us & has been kept alive by working class & immigrant & Black & queer & trans beachgoers despite decades of abandonment. Privatization is theft! Riis needs care, not gentrification!
Pledge to boycott the private club (aka Rockaway Ocean Club) taking over the Riis Bathhouse. This means:
1. DON’T BUY ANYTHING AT THE BEACH CLUB, BARS, RESTAURANTS, HOTEL, AND POOL: Don’t buy anything there, don’t drink at their bars, don’t swim in their pool. They’ve sunk an astonishing $88 million into this thing and don’t have a clear path to profitability. Let’s make sure it fails!
2. DON’T PERFORM AT OR ATTEND ANY OF THEIR EVENTS: They’re trying to gentrify us out of our own beach, so don’t give them the delight of queer culture and performance! They don’t deserve us!
3. CHOOSE SOLIDARITY: Riis is Riis because we love and care for each other. Bring snacks to share, support the other businesses on the boardwalk that love us, and keep coming back to the beach!
Rockaway Ocean Club has threatened to open in summer 2024, July 2025, and August 2025, long before this 2026’s botched July 4th announcement & it’s end-of-July 2026 postponement.
Let’s make sure their grimy business plan stays unprofitable!
It’s still THE PEOPLE’S BEACH! RIIS BEACH IS FREE!!

“4th of July – Freedom for Whom? What is there to celebrate?
For 250 years, the United States has waged wars, carried out invasions, and perpetuated injustice at home and abroad. While a small percent celebrate freedom, millions continue to face war, displacement, poverty, racism, and repression.
This July 4th, don’t celebrate. Organize!!
Join Brooklyn Against War and raise your voice against endless war, occupation, militarism, and oppression. See you there!!”_Brooklyn Against War
BEN-GVIR OUT OF NYC: ALL OUT TO THE UN
“Sign our open letter to NY AG Letitia James to prosecute Ben-Gvir and all other war criminals. Help us keep up the pressure by marching outside of the UN on July 7.” https://stopbengvir.com/
Tuesday, July 7, 2026. 4PM.
Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza
Manhattan, New York City.
“Organized mass pressure works. Itamar Ben-Gvir cancelled his trip to NYC for fear of our movement.
And we will not stop here. We call on AG Letitia James to follow through on HRF and CCR’s demands of investigating and arresting Ben-Gvir for torturing NY residents and to investigate any other Zionist war criminal in NYC. And we will not stop at Ben Gvir. No war criminal is welcome in NYC, and we will meet any and all of them with just as much anger and organization. Swipe to read our demands.
As we rally, we reaffirm that we will never abandon Palestine. Israel is still committing genocide in Gaza, families are still being displaced and dispossessed in the West Bank, and our prisoners are still being tortured in Ben Gvir’s prisons. We will continue to confront Zionism and genocide in every form it takes in our city, be it in the form of war criminals or the sale of stolen Land.
Sign the letter (here https://stopbengvir.com/) and come join us at 4pm on July 7th at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza,” said the New York City Chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement on July 4, 2026.
CLOSING NIGHT OF THE ARCHITECTURE OF GENOCIDE EXHIBIT
Friday, July 10, 2026. 6-8 PM.
The People’s Forum.
320 W 37th St. Manhattan, New York City.
“The Architecture of Genocide is a 3D exhibition map of Gaza’s infrastructure before and after two and a half years of US-backed Israeli genocide. The Gaza maps serve as a tool to document the genocide while also detailing the resilience of the people of Gaza before October 2023, when, despite a 17-year-long siege, the people of Gaza built homes, communities, and critical infrastructure in order to remain on their land.
Palestinian writer Susan Abulhawa described the last showing of the exhibit as essential, a necessary archive in production and display. Join us Friday as the exhibit nears the end of its showing at The People’s Forum. The event will feature a series of readings from our people in Gaza and the prisoner’s struggle to contextualize the exhibit and the responsibility we have to the Palestinian cause, as well as a performance from the Palestinian Youth Choir,” said the New York City Chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement on July 8, 2026.
