The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention centers exist thanks to the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. ICE agents can terrorize migrants thanks to republican and democrat politicians. ICE can function because of the billions of tax dollars democrats and republicans give to the ICE agency. The ICE TERROR is thanks to the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.
In 2002, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party created ICE. Click here to see the votes of senators in the US Senate. Click here to see the votes of the representatives in the House of Representatives. The ICE agency started working in March 2003.
The Republican Party, the Democratic Party, Donald Trump, and the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency murdered Haitian Jean Wilson Brutus on Friday, December 12, 2025, Mexican Lorenzo Salgado Araujo on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Colombian Joan Sebastián Durán Guerrero on Monday, July 13, 2026, Venezuelan Jesús Manuel Arenas-Silva on Monday, July 13, 2026, Mexican Juan Jairo Coronilla Durán on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Salvadoran Edwin Jovanny Lopez-Cornejo on Saturday, August 1, 2026, and MANY MORE.
A third immigrant died after being kidnapped at Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey. The reported death took place in July 2026 and was not disclosed by ICE. Delaney Hall is operated by the for-profit prison company GEO Group.
In total, three detainees are known to have died at the Delaney Hall, including Jean Wilson Brutus, a 41-year-old Haitian immigrant, who was killed on Friday, December 12, 2025, Salvadoran Edwin Jovanny Lopez-Cornejo, who was killed on Saturday, August 1, 2026, and the migrant who died in July 2026, whose name is unknown.
There will be another protest in support of migrants in Foley Square, Manhattan; New York City, on Saturday, August 28, 2026. at 6 PM.
“Join us this Saturday as we rally to demand justice for Edwin Jovanny Lopez-Cornejo and all the victims of ICE terror!
On August 1st, Edwin was killed from medical neglect and inhumane conditions at Delaney Hall, a for-profit detention center run by the corporation GEO Group. This is the second reported death at Delaney Hall in less than a year, the first being Jean Wilson Brutus, whose family is still fighting for answers and accountability.
At least 50 people have died in ICE detention centers since the start of Trump’s second term. ICE arrests have increased to record highs and ICE is ramping up operations across NYC. We need to keep the pressure on and continue the fight to secure justice for Edwin and all of ICE’s victims and to stop ICE and mass detentions for good!” said ICE out of NY on August 4, 2026.
“Justice for Edwin Jovanny Lopez Cornejo!
On Saturday, August 1st, Edwin was murdered by inhumane conditions –– including a lack of medical attention and neglectful treatment –– by ICE and Geo Group at Delaney Hall in Newark, NJ.
Edwin, a Plainfield resident who had lived in the U.S. for 20 years, was a loving father, son, and husband. His family is grieving an unimaginable loss, while ICE/Geo Group has yet to offer clarity and accountability surrounding his death.
Edwin’s death follows the death of Jean Wilson Brutus at Delaney Hall, a Haitian immigrant whose family has still not received justice.
These deaths are the result of a system that prioritizes profit over human life and dignity. While ICE actively kidnaps and murders our community members, the government at every level continues to protect private prison interests over our own people. Enough is enough! Now is the time to mobilize and win justice for Edwin Jovanny Lopez Cornejo and all victims of ICE violence and detention. Shut down Delaney Hall, and all immigration detention centers for good! Abolish ICE!” said the Party for Socialism and Liberation on August 5, 2026.
There was a protest in support of the Haitian Temporary Protection Status (TPS) in Parkside Plaza (Ocean Ave and Parkside Ave) in Flatbush, Brooklyn; New York City, on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
The termination of the TPS for Haitian citizens took effect on July 27, 2026. The end of TPS leaves hundreds of thousands of Haitian nationals in the United States without protection against deportation and without the work permits associated with TPS.
