Monday, July 12, 2020. New York City – According to Telemundo, the driver asked the woman to wear a mask, however the Black woman refused to wear a mask and she attacked him physically and verbally.
Telemundo reports, “The woman exploded in fury when the driver asked her to put on her mask.”
The ride-sharing company’s official policy has required riders and drivers to wear face coverings.
The woman got out of the car without first physically attacking the driver multiple times and spitting inside the car.

“Hopefully she wasn’t positive (to COVID-19) and he doesn’t come out positive (to coronavirus) as well as other health conditions. He is having problems with his eye and has headaches,” his wife Stephanie Cubias said.
Lyft issued a statement on the violent incident:
“Safety is fundamental to Lyft. The behavior shown in the video is unacceptable and has no place on the Lyft platform. Upon learning of the incident, we removed the rider from the Lyft community. We have been in touch with the driver to offer support and are in contact with law enforcement to assist with their investigation.”
The Torrance Police Department is investigating the incident.
White people or Black people, they do not have the right to attack verbally or physically other people.
