Someone in the parade had a sign with the message: “NO COPS @ PRIDE”
Stonewall was a riot because of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) police brutality against LGBTQ+ people. Stonewall was an intifada against the NYPD.
The NYPD is 181 years old. 181 years of NYPD terror against New Yorkers.
Pro-Palestine, anti-genocide New Yorkers participated in the parade. They had Palestinian flags.
PS 139 Families for Palestine had a banner with the message: “All children are our children.“
Israel is stealing land in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon. Israel is committing genocide and ethnic cleansing against people in Palestine and Lebanon. Israel is killing people, including LGBTQ+ people, in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iran, etc.
The parade ran along Fifth Avenue, started at Lincoln Place and ended at 9th Street in Park Slope.
Other Brooklyn Pride events in 2026: The LGBTQIA+ 5K Run/Walk was at 10:00 AM in Prospect Park. The 30th Annual Brooklyn Pride Multicultural Festival was from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.from Union Street to 9th Street on 5th Avenue.
Organizers said before the parade, “The only evening parade in the Northeast, the street will be filled with organizations showing up to march in support of the amazing and vibrant LGBTQIA+ community.”
