The terrorist, apartheid state of Israel has murdered more than 309 journalists in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen and Iran since October 2023.

The Republican Party and the Democratic Party in the United States of America keep giving billions of our US tax dollars to the terrorist, zionist entity.

In 2024, press freedom organizations, including the Committee to Protect Journalists, Reporters Without Borders, denounced the murder of Palestinian journalists Ismail Al-Ghoul and Rami Al-Refee and highlighted the extreme dangers faced by Palestinian journalists working in Gaza.

Watchdog organizations in different countries and United Nations experts have accused the Israeli military of an unprecedented pattern of directly targeting and murdering journalists.

“Israel’s disregard for the lives of journalists — and for the international laws designed to protect them — is unparalleled. Israel has now killed more journalists than any other government since CPJ began collecting data in 1992,” said Committee to Protect Journalists on June 25, 2026.

Some of the journalists murdered by the fascist, terrorist entity in August 2024 and August 2025.

Palestinian journalist Mohammed Issa Abu Saada was murdered by an Israeli missile strike in the Al-Zana neighborhood of Khan Younis on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

Palestinian journalist Ibrahim Mohareb was shot and bled to death following an Israeli tank attack targeting a group of journalists in Khan Younis on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

Palestinian journalists Anas Al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal, Moamen Aliwa and Mohammed Al-Khalidi were assassinated by the terrorist, fascist state of Israel on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Palestinian journalists Hussam al-Masri, Mariam Abu Dagga, Ahmed Abu Aziz, Mohammad Salama, Moaz Abu Taha were murdered by a double-tap Israeli strike hit Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Palestinian journalist Hassan Douhan was murdered by the terrorist state of Israel in Khan Younis, Gaza on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Second anniversary of the murder of journalists Ismail Al-Ghoul and Rami Al-Refee by the terrorist state of Israel.

“Today marks the second anniversary of Israel’s deliberate killing of journalists, Ismail Al-Ghoul and Rami Al-Refee, in a targeted airstrike. Today and everyday, we continue to honor their sacrifice by carrying forward the fight for a free Palestine and accountability for the perpetrators.

Ismail and Rami were wearing press vests and had just finished a segment live on al Jazeera when they were targeted in their vehicle. The two were also previously detained by the IOF while covering the Israeli forces siege and attack on Al-Shifa hospital. Their murder was reported on and lamented by many of their colleagues including Anas Al-Sharif, Hossam Shabat and Mohammad Qreiqah, who would all later face the same fate.

The murder of journalists is an intentional attempt to silence the voices of truth who expose the continued crimes of the Zionist entity. In the face of this reality, the ongoing genocide, escalations against Palestinians in the West Bank and the silence of Western press, it is our responsibility to carry the call forward and be the voices of truth, fighting for Palestine until total liberation.

Join us for a week of action from Aug 10-Aug 16. The week begins by marking the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Anas Al Sharif. Take up action in your cities, follow us to find events and join in taking action online by submitting your own work dedicated to the martyred journalists: entrustedwithpalestine.com,” said the Palestinian Youth Movement on July 31, 2026.

WEEK OF ACTION: AUGUST 10-16

“As we approach one year since Anas al-Sharif’s martyrdom and his final message — “I entrust you with Palestine… I entrust you not to be silenced by chains, nor held back by borders” — we announce a week of action, August 10th through the 16th.

Join us as we honor Anas and all of the 309+ martyred journalists in Palestine, Lebanon and the region. The murder of journalists is an intentional attempt to silence the voices of truth who expose the continued crimes of the Zionist entity. In the face of this reality, the ongoing genocide, escalations against Palestinians in the West Bank and the silence of Western press, it is our responsibility to carry Anas’ call forward and be the voices of truth, fighting for Palestine until total liberation.

RALLY FOR ANAS AL-SHARIF AND THE JOURNALISTS OF GAZA

Monday, August 10, 2026. 5 PM.
The New York Times.
620 8th Ave, Manhattan, New York City.

“Monday, August 10th marks one year since Israel’s deliberate killing of Journalists Anas Al-Sharif, alongside his colleagues Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal, Momen Aliwa, and Mohammed al-Khalidi.

Israel’s targeting of journalists is an intentional policy to suppress coverage of its war crimes. Mainstream media outlets like the New York Times have actively enabled this policy, manufacturing consent for this genocide from the beginning.

Anas left us with a final message and a charge, “I entrust you with Palestine…be bridges toward the liberation of its land and its people”. Join us Monday August 10th to carry Anas’ call forward and denounce western media for their role in his assasination,” said the New York City Chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement on July 31, 2026.

“On August 14, Writers Against the War on Gaza, the Palestinian Youth Movement, and the Palestinian Feminist Collective will honor the life and struggle of Anas al-Sharif, to mourn his martyrdom and that of his colleagues, and to understand explicitly how it is that mainstream western media enabled their deaths to occur unabated.

Beginning before the onset of the genocide, we will hear from Anas’s colleagues, mentors, and friends, across all sectors and ages to learn how Gaza’s journalists grew and transformed as the genocide accelerated. Among them are his nephew, the Palestinian journalist Mosab al-Sharif, his mentor Imad Zakout, whom Anas has described “as a father and a teacher in this field,” and Hossam Shabbat’s brother Wissam, who has dedicated himself to continuing the legacy of Gaza’s journalists, a torch they all take from both Anas and Hossam.

Central to this event will be the launch of Writers Against the War On Gaza’s “The Living Record,” an oral archive composed of more than 50 eulogies delivered by journalists across the Gaza Strip. These eulogies document the ever-growing loss that Gaza’s journalists and reporters have had to endure, and, more importantly, why it is they have continued onwards.

This event culminates the Palestinian Youth Movement’s Week of Action which will began at the anniversary of Anas al-Sharif’s martyrdom on August 10,” said Writers Against the War on Gaza on July 30, 2026.
