Protests, rallies, marches have been held outside the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, and at various other locations in Manhattan, New York City, to demand the release of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores.

Demonstrators have called for the immediate release of Maduro and Flores, labeling their detention illegal, while voicing opposition to U.S. military intervention and foreign policy in Venezuela and in Latin America.
