Thursday, October 22, 2026. Occupied Éenda-Lunaapeewáhkiing/Lenapehoking (New York City). – The “NATIONAL DAY OF PROTEST AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY” in Manhattan, New York City, on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

“October 22nd Thursday, join us and families impacted by police brutality in Harlem to demand justice for the lives NYPD has stolen!

2026 has been another year of NYPD routinely harassing black people, criminalizing homeless people, terrorizing the projects, and suppressing the masses’ dissent. Not only has this been another year of the justice system continuing to fail Eric Garner, Antonio Casseem Armstrong, John Collado, and countless others murdered by the biggest gang in New York, this year NYPD continued their killing spree, taking the lives of Dashawn Anthony La Rodé, Chez Fray, not to mention those whose murder were swept under the rug by pigs. This needs to end. And the families of the stolen lives refuse to wait or beg for justice. October 22nd signifies that every day of the year, families are taking the matter into their own hands and fighting for justice for their loved ones.

Come out and stand with families fighting for justice and justice for all the stolen lives taken by brutal police across the country! Demand an end to police brutality!” said Families Demanding Justice and Dare To Struggle NYC on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Marcos Alcaraz

On July 18, 2026, Marcos “Bori” Alcaraz, 35, was left to burn to death by correction officers, after a fire broke out in his locked cell at Eastern Correctional Facility in Napanoch, New York.

Inmate witnesses and family members have accused guards of negligence and delayed response, leading the family to file a $50 million notice of intent to sue the state.

“On July 18, 2026, a man with 5 years left to go of his sentence was executed in a New York State prison, Eastern Correctional Facility. The cell of Marcos Alcaraz, just 35 years old, was set ablaze and he burned alive because the guards did not respond in time, despite the calls for help from him and other prisoners. In the two weeks since then, the people who lived on his unit with him have been forced to walk past his charred cell and inhale the lingering scent of the burnt flesh of a man who they used to live with.

Theodore Johnson, who lived on this unit, started speaking out and is now in the box for his heroic stand. He is now on a hunger strike. It is on us to stand with the family and friends of Marcos Alcaraz who are demanding justice and accountability for this tragedy, and with courageous rebel prisoners like Theodore Johnson. We need all killer COs to be held accountable for the brutality they get away with on the daily! If you or a loved one are locked up at Eastern Correctional Facility, we wanna hear from you, share your stories, and fight with you. Justice for Marcos Alcaraz! Justice for all stolen lives!” said Dare To Struggle NYC, Francheska Alcaraz (sister of Marcos Alcaraz) and Families Demanding Justice on August 3, 2026.

“Friday August 21st is George Jackson Day! Come out to protest outside of Eastern Correctional Facility to demand Justice for Marcos Alcaraz and for the men inside who continue to face retaliation.

On July 18th Marcos Alcaraz was left to burn to death by COs at Eastern Correctional Facility. His family has yet to recieve any answers from prison officials or even the names of the COs responsible. Join up with Marcos’ family to make some noise outside and to stand with prisoners who continue to face attacks and collective punishment for witnessing the murder of Marcos by killer COs. JAIL KILLER COs!

On the 55th anniversary of the assassination of revolutionary George Jackson, we are here to say: the spirit of George Jackson lives! You can kill a revolutionary but you can’t kill revolution!” said Dare To Struggle NYC, Francheska Alcaraz and Dare to Struggle National on August 12, 2026.

“The family of Marcos Alcaraz, who burned to death in his cell at Eastern Correctional Facility in July, announced Monday that they intend to sue New York state for $50 million,” reported Sarah Trafton on September 28, 2026.

“On Monday, his sister, Francheska Alcaraz, filed a notice of intention to sue the state, alleging negligence that caused the wrongful death of her 35-year-old brother,” reported Trafton.

Sarah added, “Alcaraz tried to use his mattress as a shield against the fire, according to a news release from Beldock Levine & Hoffman, the law firm representing Francheska Alcaraz. The prominent New York-based law firm also represented the families of Eric Garner and Nicholas Feliciano in wrongful death lawsuits, as well as four members of the Central Park 5 in a federal civil rights lawsuit that awarded the plaintiffs $41 million.” Read more on www.timesunion.com.

Antonio Casseem Armstrong

Antonio Casseem Armstrong

“Today marks five years since Antonio Casseem Armstrong was killed in his apartment by NYPD. Antonio was 23 years old and had two babies who will never see their daddy again. On October 6, 2021, Antonio’s apartment building was swarmed with cops, snipers, and drones that stalked his apartment from above. NYPD came on a mission to kill him that day.

Five years since Antonio was killed, no justice has been served. NYPD and Attorney General of New York, Leticia James, choose to ignore the crimes that they committed when they killed Antonio. Antonio’s mother, Shernaleria, still doesn’t know the names of the cops who killed him. Body camera footage wasn’t released for almost four years, and the body cam footage that was released was edited and only showed the aftermath, not the actual murder. Every day, NYPD, Leticia James, and the whole ruling class try to sweep their murder of Antonio under the rug. But we will keep fighting every day for Justice for Antonio and for All Stolen Lives, and so that police brutality can be stopped once and for all,” said Shernaleria Eccles, Dare To Struggle NYC and Families Demanding Justice on October 6, 2026.

Antonio Williams

Antonio Williams and his family.

The men who murdered Antonio Williams were NYPD police officers. NYPD cops murdered one of their own, NYPD Brian Mulkeen, at the same time.

“7 years ago today, on September 29, 2019, #AntonioWilliams was waiting for a cab at night when plainclothes NYPD officers jumped out of an unmarked car and murdered him. Officers racially profiled Antonio, unconstitutionally stopped him, assaulted him, and killed him in a hail of 15 bullets – some shot from over 50 feet away.

To this day, none of the NYPD officers responsible have been held accountable, and Det. Daniel Beddows was allowed to retire without discipline.

Sending love to Antonio’s loved ones today and every day. #NeverForget #SayHisName. www.justiceforantoniowilliams.com,” said the Justice Committee on September 29, 2026.

Terron Evans Jr.

Terron Evans Jr.

“Terron Evans Jr. was 26 years old when he moved to Potsdam, New York in June 2020. Terron protested alongside his mother Jennifer Baxtron, Black Lives Matter Potsdam New York organizer.

On 1/8/21 Terron was dead in the home of 2 police informants claiming suicide. Out of 5 responding officers to the scene Terron’s Mom was only given 1 body cam video. The officer whose body cam video it was resigned. The St Lawrence County Chief ADA resigned the same day Terron’s life was stolen. The lead Sheriff on Terron’s case retired. They claimed that Terron took over 50 Wellbutrin pills but the autopsy showed no pills in his stomach, no pill residue in or around his mouth and no signs of vomiting. The Toxicology report said a “potentially lethal” amounts of Wellbutrin. The St Lawrence County Sheriff’s opened a file on Terron’s death more than 8 hours before his death in their Informants home in Potsdam NY.

Terron Evans Jr was targeted set up with a police informant that pretended to be his girlfriend and murdered in her home. Terron Evans Jr was killed in retaliation and racism. Terron Evans Jr took the risk of being a target, Terron showed up and spoke up against police and CO’s, he spoke up against racism, he spoke up for those whose lives have been stolen by law enforcement, who still need justice. Terron Evans Jr’s Life was stolen by law enforcement and their Informants. Terron Evans Jr still needs justice. Murder Is Not Suicide,” said Justice for Terron Evans Jr., Dare To Struggle NYC and Families Demanding Justice on October 20, 2026.

Jennifer Baxtron, the mother of Terron Evans Jr., is asking for donations to get Justice for Terron Evans.

Eric Garner

Eric Garner with wife Esaw

“Eric Garner should be turning 56-years-old today.

On July 17th, 2014, Eric was approached by NYPD pig Daniel Pantaleo who accused him of selling loose cigarettes. Garner was taken to the ground and put in a chokehold by Pantaleo, yelling “I can’t breathe!” 11 times before his life was stolen.

Eric’s murder sparked nation wide protests and calls for justice. Opportunists who put themselves at the front of the bourgeoning movement shifted the demands for jailing Pantaleo to focus on “better training” for NYPD officers. As public pressure subsided, Pantaleo would remain on the force for 5 more years, with local and federal prosecutors refusing to charge him for Garner’s murder. Pantaleo remains a free man to this day.

Eric Garner should be celebrating his birthday with his 6 children and grand children. But his life was stolen, and those memories stolen from his loved ones as well. Remember Eric Garner today and history, as well as how we must continue to fight for the most basic demand of our movement and never be let astray by opportunists: jail killer cops.

Join us this October 22nd for the National Day of Protest Against Police Brutality to demand justice for Eric and the thousands of stolen lives taken since 2014. Get involved, organize O22 protests wherever your at, and help rebuild the movement against police brutality to put a stop to it, once and for all,” said Families Demanding Justice and Dare To Struggle NYC on September 15, 2026.
