Philadelphia is built on the historic and ancestral homeland of the Lenni-Lenape (specifically the Unami-speaking Lenape), known as Lenapehoking.
Indigenous Lenape people inhabited the Delaware Valley and the area that is now Philadelphia for thousands of years prior to White Europeans invaded the Lenape Nation, stole lands from Lenape people and committed genocide and ethnic cleansing against Indigenous Lenape people.

Zionist politicians including Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday attacked the peaceful pro-Palestine, anti-genocide protest.
Zionist Cherelle Parker and zionist Josh Shapiro are members of the Democratic Party and zionist Dave Sunday is a member of the Republican Party.
Since at least 1948, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party in the United States of America have been supporting Israel and its atrocities.
On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, was the general election in the United States of America. Democrat politicians are going to control the Senate and the House of Representatives. Zionist Hakeem Jeffries will likely be the Speaker of the House, and zionist Chuck Schumer will be the Senate Majority Leader.
The president of the United States of America, Republican Donald Trump, Democrat Jeffries and Democrat Schumer are strong supporters of Israel.

The Democratic Party or the Republican Party may control the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the White House, but when it comes to Israel and other matters, nothing really changes.
Joint Statement in solidarity with the November 8th Philly Bike on your Left Boycott Bike Ride
November 6, 2026. “Last weekend, bicyclists announced an upcoming “Boycott Ride” in Rittenhouse Square, highlighting community boycotts against restaurants whose owners have hosted fundraisers or made statements in support of the state of “Israel.” In response, Zionist politicians including Mayor Cherelle Parker, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, and PA Attorney General Dave Sunday—as well as various Zionist organizations—issued statements condemning the ride. Local journalists have dutifully repeated their disingenuous claims, falsely conflating Zionism with Judaism to allege that these businesses are being targeted for reasons of religious identity.
In actuality, the bike ride is a protest against a supremacist political ideology: specifically, these business owners’ material and ideological support of the state of “Israel,” which perpetuates the genocide of Palestinians. Boycotting such establishments is a commonplace and time-honored nonviolent protest strategy utilized to exert economic pressure towards social justice aims.
In the upside-down logic of Zionism, a group of activists riding bikes through the city to call attention to the local supporters of genocide is comparable to the violence of Nazi fascists. Zionists have repeatedly and disingenuously invoked Kristallnacht when discussing this event. The Boycott Ride is happening during the daytime on November 8, a date that was chosen by organizers for practical reasons. Kristallnacht, as the name implies, happened the night of November 9 into November 10. Invoking Kristallnacht is a cynical and hollow attempt by Zionists to make an educational bicycle ride sound violent or motivated by bigotry. It is offensive given the reality Palestinians experience at the hands of the Zionist project.
While Zionists wring their hands in fake outrage over a legitimate and protected protest, “Israel” continues to carry out a genocide, armed and backed by the US government, destroying businesses, homes and farmland in the West Bank and Lebanon daily and obliterating the infrastructure needed to sustain life in Gaza.
In the last month alone, Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza have endured the following at the hands of “Israel”:
- Over 3,300 Palestinians in Hebron have been forced from their homes as part of an “Israeli” military offensive designed to shore up support for Netanyahu on the eve of the “Israeli” elections.
- An estimated 260,000 students are being prevented from attending school as a result of the Hebron offensive.
- “Israeli” settlers have increased attacks throughout the West Bank. In October, settlers began targeting the Palestinian olive harvest, beating and physically blocking Palestinians in at least 8 villages from harvesting olives, their main source of yearly income.
- Last week, soldiers and settlers beat disabled Palestinian Mohammad Ahmad Ayesh Thawabta in the village of al-Maniya, southeast of Bethlehem.
- Yesterday, November 5, an “Israeli” drone fired missiles at a tent sheltering displaced people in Gaza, killing at least 4 people, including a child. Palestinian officials report that more than 1,600 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the so-called ceasefire.
- Today, November 6, settlers seized 8 homes in Jericho, forcing dozens of Palestinians from their homes, beating residents, firing live ammunition, and throwing stones.
THIS is what it looks like when people are systematically subject to organized state-sponsored and extra-legal campaigns of violence and discrimination. THIS is what a pogrom looks like.
We stand with the organizers of the Boycott Ride, a small group of bicyclists against genocide who have been doxxed and villainized by social media Zionists and self-serving politicians. As this Boycott Ride shows, Philadelphians increasingly reject normalization of the genocidal state and are moved to turn their principles into action. We won’t abandon our community members who proudly stand in solidarity with the brave people of Palestine. Zionism is a failed ideology no matter how hard those in power deny it. STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF THE PHILLY BOYCOTT BIKE RIDE AGAINST ZIONIST BUSINESSES
November 4, 2026. “On October 31st, @phillybike.onyourleft, an anti-fascist, anti-Zionist social cycling collective in Philadelphia, posted a flyer promoting an upcoming “Boycott Ride” in Rittenhouse Square to show solidarity with Palestinians and raise awareness around the boycotts of Zionist business establishments. The post named Dizengoff, K’Far Cafe, and Goldie (businesses owned by ‘Israeli’ “culinary ambassador” Mike Solomonov), and Schlesinger’s Deli, Mac Mart, and Huda, all restaurants whose owners have made statements and/or raised funds in support of the Zionist entity’s occupation, apartheid, and genocide in Palestine.
Since then, Zionists have mounted a coordinated campaign to discredit and villainize the organizers and detract from their anti-genocide message, including a flurry of near-identical statements disingenuously conflating Zionism with Judaism and invoking Kristallnacht (the anniversary of which falls the day after the event), a cynical take that is not only offensive to the historical victims of Nazi persecution but an intentional distraction from the actual pogroms currently taking place in the West Bank and the wholesale destruction of life and livelihood in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran.
Though Boycott CookNSolo did not organize the boycott ride, we support common sense boycotts that arise from community knowledge and information sharing. Our boycott specifically targets CookNSolo and the affiliated business Soom Tahini, but every business that subscribes to the genocidal ideology of Zionism is subject to boycott and has no place in our city.
We call for the boycott of CookNSolo because:
They raised over $100K in October 2023 for United Hatzalah, an organization that provides medical supplies to and coordinates with the IOF (Israeli Occupation Forces) and has played an active role in spreading genocidal propaganda.
They hosted numerous free dinners at their restaurants for IOF soldiers before deployment to Gaza, for pro Israel lobbyists and politicians, and for organizations supporting the Zionist project like Birthright.
They fired employees for expressions of support for Palestine.
Solomonov has worked as an official “culinary ambassador” for the state of Israel’s Ministry of Tourism, viewing his promotion of “Israeli” food as a way to promote the state of “Israel”: In 2019 he said, “What we’ve done in the kitchen […] has been so much more productive for Israel than had I become a soldier.”
CookNSolo have a longstanding relationship with the Jewish National Fund, an organization foundational to the creation of the Zionist entity which offers direct support to the settlement movement. In 2025 Michael Solomonov and his business partner Steve Cook were recipients of the JNF Tree of Life Award for their substantial financial contributions. Solomonov also partnered with the Jewish National Fund on a culinary institute located in the Galilee (northern “Israel”), a project designed with the express purpose of increasing settlement and building industry in the North.
Soom tahini, which is used in all CookNSolo restaurants as well as in their grocery store hummus line is marketed as a local “woman owned” business but is produced in “Israel”, including as recently as 2018, in an illegal settlement. The business was founded by the Zitelman sisters, one of whom is a settler and oversees production alongside her husband, an Israeli sesame importer. The sisters have made several public statements denying genocide and the family is deeply involved in Zionist organizations and causes.
We do not answer to enraged supremacists, fake civil rights organizations whose primary purpose is defending a genocidal apartheid state and demonizing resistance to its actions, or politicians who have at every turn facilitated the ongoing slaughter, starvation and dispossession of the people of Palestine, Lebanon and Syria and the grotesque war crimes the US state has committed against Iran. It is the duty of every free person who believes in justice to confront the supremacist ideology of Zionism wherever and whenever it is expressed.
These businesses, through their support of the so-called “State of Israel,” uplift and attempt to normalize cultural theft and genocide. While Zionists may react by rushing to businesses and institutions where they feel they can safely express their hatred, understand that they are increasingly isolated and reviled.
