El Domingo, 11 de Octubre, 2015, un grupo de Indígenas de diferentes pueblos nativos del continente se reunieron en la calle 59 y esquina con el Parque Central en Manhattan, Nueva York, para celebrar el Octavo Día Anual de recordatorio de los indígenas. Los organizadores del evento, dijeron en Facebook “Recordamos los sacrificios que los pueblos indígenas sufrieron en 1492 y después bajo la tiranía de Cristóbal Colón y los que le siguieron hasta la actualidad.
