El Museo celebrates El Barrio's time-honored tradition of the Three Kings Day Parade with their renowned procession through the streets of East Harlem. Where else can you find live camels, music, colorful puppets, dancing, and parrandas in one fabulous event?

Depending on the moon, the Chinese New Year and Lunar New Year Parade fall either in late January or early February.
Starts at Little Italy and goes through the main streets of Lower Manhattan/Chinatown
Cultural Festival & Booth: Sara Roosevelt Park (Canal & Forsyth St) One block from major subway system, next to Manhattan Bridge, nearby all out of town buses, and surrounded by major market place.
Presidents Day Parade
Held in celebration of George Washington's birthday, President's Day is a national holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February each year. The parade marches along 5th Avenue from 35th to 50th Street. Much fan-fair and fun can be expected of the day.

Patrick's Day Parade
The New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade is our country’s oldest and proudest Irish tradition, marching for the first time 250 years ago, on March 17, 1762 - fourteen years before the Declaration of Independence.
NOTE: The organizers of this parade are homophobic. They don’t allow gays to march in the parade.
Phagwha Parade (in Richmond Hill, Queens, New York)
Phagwah, or Holi, is the Indo-Caribbean Hindu celebration of the new year.
Every spring, the Sunday after the first full moon of the Hindu calendar, Phagwah literally paints the streets as kids and families "color" one another with dye (abrac) and powder and chase away the winter grays. The spirit--and high-jinks--are like that of Carnival.

Route: Liberty Avenue and 133rd Street > west on Liberty > north on 125th Street > to Smokey Oval Park at 125th Street.
Festival: Music and other cultural performances at Phil Rizutto Park (Smokey Oval Park) after the parade. Celebration at Smokey Oval Park ends at 6 p.m.
Greek Independence Day Parade
The Greek Independence Day Parade is an annual celebration of Hellenic identity and commemoration, through which all Hellenes can express and promote their culture and achievements to the world.
The annual Greek Independence Day Parade, which is commemorating the 189th Anniversary of Greek Declaration of Independence, March 25th 1821, has become a New York City traditional event. Since 1938, it has attracted a vast number of New York participants, and since 1951 they have been celebrating it on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue.
April:
The Easter Parade
The Easter Parade will take place on Easter Sunday along Fifth Avenue from 49th to 57th Streets is a wonderful celebration of strolling in Easter finery. Bonnets are taken to an extreme that only New Yorkers can reach; also expect to see live rabbits, pet snakes, flowers, clowns, and more. The street is closed to traffic for parade participants and people watchers from roughly 10am until 4pm. Call (212) 484-1222 for more information.

April Fool's Parade
The Annual April Fools' Day Parade will begin at Fifth Avenue and 59th Street at 12 noon. Rain or shine, the parade will march down Fifth Avenue to Washington Square Park for the post-parade festivities and selection of the King or Queen of Fools from the costumed marching look-alikes.
The Sikh Cultural Society Parade and Festival

AIDS Walk New York City
In 1986, GMHC was searching for ways to further engage the public, media, and government in the fight against the rapidly growing AIDS epidemic. The first AIDS Walk New York was created and produced by Craig R. Miller and his organization of activists, MZA Events. The 10-kilometer walkathon was designed to raise urgently needed funds for GMHC, and to battle the stigma so many associated with HIV/AIDS. The event took place on May 18, 1986 at Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park, Fordham University's Robert Moses Plaza, and the streets of the Upper West Side. Today, the AIDS Walk begins and ends in Central Park.
Veggie Pride Parade New York City
The procession will begin at 12 Noon in the Old Meat Packing District (where 9th Ave. & Gansevoort St. intersect). It will culminate in a festival for all to enjoy at the north end of Union Square Park. There, revelers of all persuasions will hear well-known vegan speakers and music by vegan artists. They'll all partake in free vegan food and explore a wide variety of exhibitor presentations.

Fleet Week New York City
Thousands of Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen from U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard ships will be in Manhattan for Fleet Week New York.
Hosted nearly every year since 1984, Fleet Week New York is the City's celebration of the sea services. This annual event also provides an opportunity for the citizens of New York City and the surrounding Tri-State area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness first hand the latest capabilities of today's Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard Team. Fleet Week includes dozens of military demonstrations and displays throughout the week, as well as public visitation of many of the participating ships.
Hatian Parade and Festival
The Haitian Day Parade & HaitianSpringFest is truly unique. It is family oriented by design. Truth be told, the month of May is Haitian Heritage Month. May has great historical and cultural traditions that all Haitians are proud to make others aware of and to pass on to future generations. It is in that spirit that the Haitian Day Parade & HaitianSpringFest always closed the month for the past nine years. This celebration incorporates a Haitian patriotic theme into an exciting day of cultural activities including food, musical entertainment, floats with beautiful queens and princesses and much more in the parade/Festival. Smiling families dine at sidewalk cafes. The air is filled with music, laughter, and the tempting aromas of Haitian cuisine. Surely, this must be Haiti? Actually, it is the HaitianSpringFest in Brooklyn, Nostrand Avenue / Toussaint Louverture BLVD (Little Haiti).
Memorial Day parade
The parade will start at 2:00 pm at the corner of Jason Avenue and Northern Boulevard in Great Neck.
It proceeds west on Northern Boulevard to 244 Street into St. Anastasia Schoolyard.
The parade route is on mostly leveled road. The last 3 blocks are at a slight decline.
Martin Luther King Jr./369th Regiment Parade
Celebrating Dr King's contribution to civil rights, the parade covers 5th Ave from 66th to 86th Sts. It also pays tribute to African-Americans who have sered in the US military.
